Okay for price.
You may be asking how this can be advertised as both 16 gauge and also 1.6mm, and the answer is simple, it depends where about you measure. Some sections are 1.6mm ish, other are 1.2mm ish- so in other words it fluctuates between gauges 16 to 14. I'm using it to make riveted chainmail, and it's doing the job perfectly- just wish the size was a little more consistent.
