Creates great tasting water!
The reverse osmosis really does a great job in reducing the contamination in the water. It took my filtered tap water TDS (total dissolved solids) from 220 reading down to 18. Giving it a 4 out of 5 just because there is no way to cool the water so it comes out slightly under room temperature.

Good taste, easy install, exceeds cost to have this in my kitchen! Invaluable
Water tastes great. Easy install. A joy to have in home. Good pressure, I use it for cooking, tea, ice cubes (the freezer cubes taste gross even with a frig filter), and obviously I never drink tap. Invaluable life style choice.

You will pay a lot for replacement filters
Great RO filter that is easy to install, very simple, and produces great tasting water. The only problem is that you will get gouged on replacement filters. I purchased my filter in October 2017 and purchased a replacement filter 12 months later for $99. I need to replace the filter this year and found that the filter now costs $162! I expect it to go up again next year. The company wants you to sign up for their auto-ship filter replacement service which locks in the price. I expect to get gouged again next year on replacement filters. Beware.

Obnoxiously Loud. Shady Company.
I purchased one of these systems directly from Pelican and had it installed by one of their recommended installers. After installation it started making obnoxious draining noises in my kitchen constantly. I talked to the installer and they said this was normal. It is loud to the point that in the adjacent room to my kitchen where our TV is we have to shut off the water to the filter to stop it when watching anything to prevent being constantly distracted.I wrote a review on Pelican's site about the noise and it went up for 24 hours before it was removed by Pelican without any notification to myself. Didn't even both contacting me. They leave one 1-star review on their site to give the appearance that actually allow negative reviews but it is a lie.So I have to come here to Amazon to post an honest review about the quality of this product.

Proprietary Filters $$$$$$$$$$
The stomach turning problem is that you will get gouged on replacement filters. When you need to replace the 18-month filter the cost is approximately $162! I expect it to go up again next year. I expect to get gouged again next year on replacement filters. Beware. A fairly good system, but a rip off for filters. UGH!

A HORRIBLE product
I bought one of these systems about 12 years ago. The bladder in the RO tank blew out after a couple of years, sending black gunk out of my filtered-water-faucet. I replaced the system with a Watts Premier (three stage no reverse osmosis) system and have never looked back. However, I continued to use the Pelican faucet, but it crapped out a few days ago, and that's what's reminding me of Pelican. I had to buy a $100 replacement (just to get the guts out of it, because my existing faucet would be difficult to replace wholly). They don't sell the internal brass parts (like almost all other faucet makers do). And even now, my experience with this company did not feel good.
