Is this a curly girl method approved product and without silicones that build up?

According to one of the reviews: Contains unwater soluable polyquats derived from silicones. After use, i could tell it was building up by how brittle my hair felt. So, no?

I need a product that separates each hair and holds it with thickness rather than stickiness. Will it be suitable or which one would you recommend?

Yes, this is very suitable. I use this plus Aussie instant freeze hair spray and together they work miracles. I have THICK natural curly hair and I have never found a better product than this. It is sticky, but I also use a hair dryer diffuser attachment and then finish with the hair spray. So if you don't blow dry it with a diffuser yes it will be sticky until it dries.

Is this meant to be applied to wet hair?

While my hair is still somewhat wet, I use it, however you can use it to lay down thin hairs that stick up.Thats what I do. Good stuff

What is the shelf life of this product? An unopened tube?

The shelf on this product is 2-3 years from the production date. This embossed on the crimp of the tube (can be difficult to see/read).

Ottimo prodotto, lo uso sui miei capelli ricci in combinazione con leave in e mousse (seguo il curly girl method), crea un ottimo cast, non lascia residui e lo styling dura almeno 3gg. L'ho preso come alternativa più economica rispetto a Giovanni LA Hold - che adoro, ma non sempre è reperibile a prezzi "normali" - e non mi ha affatto delusa!
