They were comfortable to walk around in for several hours, and I even had to run around in costume to get to where I needed to on time. The shoes stayed on pretty well. I actually bought a size up because I needed the space in the shoe for an extra thick foot covering. They were therefore a bit big, so I am fairly certain that if you buy true to size in the chart, that they will fit perfectly. I wear 9 to 9.5 in women's shoes and 7.5 in men's, and the 41 was just a little large for wear. The sole is flat, the surface does not slip so it's perfect for indoor taiji . However, the shoe does not fit tightly over the foot, its kind open at the top, so it seems loose. Most important is that the recommended one size over your normal size was too much for me. So I have to wear two pairs of socks. Would I buy this again? Not sure. Quality is ok, but I think an athletic shoe with flat soles would be better. I hesitate to buy a real taiji shoe because of the fit issue; I mean buying shoes over the internet you always run a risk of not the fit you need. Based on the sizing chart I ordered what turned out to be a 43. They are way too small. It's a pity because they are the nicest tai chi shoes I've ever seen.
