Good keyboard, Poor quality receiver
I use this for my Raspberry Pi computer to conserve the limited number of USB ports.I actually want to give this a 3.5/5 rating, but I do think its pros outweigh its cons. Barely.Remote is a good quality keyboard-trackpad combo. Lack of weight gives it a cheap feel, but it isn't too bad.USB plug-and-forget receiver is lacking. Usually gets stuck in the USB port, and I have to use pliers to remove it. The small receiver is not constructed with the quality that I usually see in such small USB dongles. When I tried to remove it for the first time, it wouldn't budge and I immediately stopped tugging on it, fearing I would damage my Raspberry Pi's board. I then used my Multi-tool's pliers to gently pull it out. it came out, but the metal jacket for the plug (that fits inside the port) was still stuck in the port! Using the pliers got it out quickly as well.I believe the problem was caused by a failure to tuck in two metal prongs on one side of the plug, probably a manufacturing error. It was easy to fix, but it should have been done BEFORE I received it.This device has an acceptable quality for the price, but the remote feels cheaply made, partly because of its light weight.

Great. Works well and is very convenient.
I live these. I have two, one for my Room with my PC and monitor, and one for my living room where my Television is hooked up to a Laptop. These are a great alternative to a KB and Mouse when away from a desk. The media buttons are very useful, and I'm able to easily reach all the keys. They keyboard setup is nice, with several alternatives for mouse clicking and several hotkey buttons for your default web browser, E-mail, mute, media player, and search. It's also got the page up and down buttons off to the side and that's very useful. The mouse is not terribly accurate at high speeds, but the sensitivity can be adjusted. I actually recommend using the slowest setting. The touchpad works well and even at the lowest setting it only takes a few swipes to navigate across the screen.I have an older style that's rectangular, but it's always been awkward to use. The IR emitter is on the side and holding it naturally to type covers it up making it unreliable. This is much better in that regard. It's easy to hold naturally without interfering with input. The only thing I wish it had was backlit keys. My clunky one has that, but even without it this model is far superior to it.

Great wireless mini keyboard mouse combo
I bought this remote from the company .The name of the company is rii the delivery was on time. It functions from more than 10 feet away it connected as if it was part of the computer it was a plug and play. It came professionally packaged and had a small thank you card in there the extra buttons for the Internet, Home button, search button Media button ,email button all work on your default settings on your computer they work fine for me I have a Windows 8 laptop. Some people say they were pressing keys and It kept repeating there is a setting in your control panel where you open the devices that you look right click for properties and it will show you where you can press the key and it will repeat it immediately or you can press the key and it will take almost 30 seconds before repeat it you can adjust the settings so I don't know what these people are talking about it is a high quality sturdy product it just doesn't look cheap and when you look deep into the properties of it if you are good at computers you will see that is manufactured by Microsoft or they have some type of go-ahead from Microsoft for their manufacturing I would recommend for anybody to purchase this

turn on the lights in my darkened space ship...
One thing that I like about this tiny keyboard is that 2 thumbs is all you need to operated it. The other feature that I like is the auto power down, the lithium battery can last for weeks and recharging is usually a quick and easy process. By looking at some of the other reviews, the thing that confuses people is that once the auto power save is enabled by inactivity, it takes a a few milliseconds to wake back up, and then the blue light comes on. If you type before that, it would not be received. I would give it 5 stars, if it had a blue LED back light ( hint hint ) . That would really float my boat, because it's not cool to have to turn on the lights in my darkened space ship.

It gets the job done
I have to say I am picky when it comes to my HTPC remotes. This is my 7th remote and I would rank it top 3.PROsbutton layout greatvery form fitting in my handsrange is the same as others (enough to sit on a couch with direct line of sightbattery lifeCONsevery so often it cannot keep up with my typing and misses lettersNO backlightno obstacle can be in the way others you could put in the back of a pc this has to go in frontIf the cons are not that bad I would recommend this, My favorite of all time is the Rii mini the black one from 2009. It may not have the best layout but its reliable and once you have gone through as many as I have you just want something that works

Looks good but features don't work
I purchased it on a Friday and I got it on Monday after work. Overall it fills and looks great. The installation was easy yet there were not really a lot of instructions or guide to know what each key does. I quickly noticed some of the keyboard functions don't work ( scroll bar in the middle of key pad, page up/down, and typing feature). My friend has the exact same keyboard yet in black and her type on my tv and scroll. I have a Samsung smart tv/flat screen and she has a LG flat screen. Not sure if that makes a difference. I noticed the same things that didn't work on my tv also didn't work on her except she was able to use the typing feature. This seems strange to me. For that reason I'm ranking this product a 3.
