LAURA GELLER Baked Balance-n-Brighten Powder Foundation – Fair

I'm almost 60/F, some wrinkles and a fair amount of discoloration, red spots, and sun damage, esp. on cheeks. This foundation (baked balance and brighten, color FAIR) is really easy to use. Feels like nothing, even when building. I used only basic, soft, fluffy brushes I had on hand; they worked well for light coverage, but I do think a denser brush option - like a retracting kabuki, as recommended - might work better for building. Very good coverage on bare skin (moisturizar only), pracrically perfect over an inexpensive primer. Almost all my flaws disappeared, even without concealer. Did not settle in wrinkles, either. I FEEL PRET-TY, OH-SO PRET-TY!...or, at least, "not bad for an old broad, not at all!". I do find that using primer is better over large pores and significant discoloration, such as have I. I used a budget brand with spf 30 and the foundation went on perfectly. It's FAST, too. The longest part if the process is waiting for the primer to dry, maybe 1-3 minutes. Found it difficult to shade match - but to be fair: When is it *not* difficult? Would be a very nice thing if Laura Geller Beauty offered an inexpensive "sampler" (say, $5.00 for just enough product for 1/2 face in two adjacent shades) to help in this process. I tried "PORCELAIN" first, but it was just a tad too light. The model wearing "FAIR" looks like an olive tone to me, whereas (I think?) I'm more peachy, like the "LIGHT" model - but I'm super pale...but ... but.. hem ..haw.. Seems really wasteful to open, use once and return a full product to try a color that isn't quite right, as I have. "Samplers" would really help reduce the volume of product returns, not to mention reduce waste and carbon footprints - just sayin'. Step up,😀Laura Geller. I've been a fan of Laura Geller products for some time and decided to try the Baked Balance-n-Brighten Powder Foundation after using the Baked Balance-N-Glow for quite a while. I'm glad I did! While I liked the healthy glow that Balance-N-Glow provides, I felt I needed extra cove because the coverage is sheer. Balance-n-Brighten gives me better coverage and evens out the redness of my skin. What I like is that it looks natural and not overdone, even after layering a little more in areas where I want extra coverage. As someone who prefers quick and easy makeup, this saves me time, looks natural, and lasts throughout the day. I highly recommend giving Balance-n-Brighten a try.

I love this product! I am in my late 30s and have some fine lines. I can no longer use any old foundation or powder because so many of them make me look older than I am. Less is more with makeup these days. If you know, you know. I have actually stopped using powders until I looked up what works good with older skin and this came up. It isn’t too drying despite being a powder. It has a nice matte finish. The coverage is pretty good! I have acne prone skin. It covers zits and doesn’t break out my skin. Easy to apply and great quality! Highly recommend!

As a woman in her 50's, I was on the seemingly never ending search for a light, full coverage foundation that was easy to apply, set in seconds, and was just as easy to reapply if needed. I wasn't asking for much. Nothing cakey, long lasting, natural looking, feels like velvet, forgot I had applied anything for the weightlessness... You know, that miracle foundation that checked all the boxes. I may have just found it (after how many decades?). This foundation is all that and more. So easy to apply, non drying, and my "routine", such as it is, has been reduced to a couple of minutes; just what I've been wanting. Absolutely gorgeous. I fall into the "I don't want to have to do much" category when I'm applying makeup, and this foundation fits the bill. I don't think I could ask for anything more.

I'd give this makeup 5 stars if it weren't for the horrible container that it's in. The makeup goes on easily with good coverage and lasts all day. The coverage amount depends on how much you want to use so it's good for light every day and increased nighttime coverage. I really do love the makeup. I've purchased this several times and have yet to have a container that does not break at the hinge. For the amount of money that you are paying for this makeup, you should be able to finish if off without having to carry a rubber band around to hold it shut.

I'm a senior and struggle to find products that actually DO make me look a little better. I've been using this powder for months now and I do think it improves the look and texture of me face. I ended up getting two compacts in different shades, one lighter, one a little darker because I wanted a little more "tan" look on my cheeks and less in other places. Each compact has a swirling variety of tones, which is great. The powder is very fine and really does make my face look much better, more evened out, smooth. I also got the Kabuki brush which I really love too - well worth the money. It is angled and high quality. Makes making up much easier!

I bought this foundation on a whim during Prime Day because it claimed to be designed for mature skin without settling into fine lines and wrinkles. I honestly expected it to fall short of that claim, but I was pleasantly surprised! I’ve used BareMinerals loose powder foundation for years, but over the past year or two, I’ve noticed that my skin has changed and my old powder just wasn’t sitting on my skin the way it used to. The Laura Geller Baked Balance-n-Brighten powder goes on smoothly, is buildable, and blends beautifully into my skin tone rather than looking like a layer of makeup sitting on top of it. Best of all, it doesn’t settle into my fine lines and wrinkles the way my old foundation did. It’s also incredibly easy to apply with a kabuki brush, and since it’s a pressed powder, there’s no loose powder mess to deal with. I’m so glad I took a chance on this one! It’s a great option for anyone whose skin has changed with age and who wants natural-looking coverage without emphasizing fine lines.

Ok. Provides light coverage. Also extremely difficult getting any product on the accompanying Kabuki brush because I feel like it is so heavily pressed in the compact. I literally have to scratch the palette with my finger nails to see any product on the brush. Disappointed and won’t repurchase.

I was extremely skeptical about how this product would be. It is FANTASTIC! The coverage is buildable and as a result I get a beautiful finish that still looks like my skin, but air brushed. It wears beautifully all day, it doesn't look dry or flaky at all. Will definitely buy again!

Was sooo looking forward to this product after seeing the reviews and also going on their website.. the color to light for my skin tone and the powder makes my skin look very powdery and dry. Don’t like it at all, such an pity cause I thought it’s my foundation problem solved

My wife bought this and she loves it. she has fair skin and the color is perfect and covers what she wants covered. she says it can feel a bit dry when first applied but lasts all day without setteling in to fine lines

Love this product, covers just as well as liquid foundation, the colour medium is perfect, gives my face a break from liquid foundations, on its own or I sometimes use a light cover over foundation for a flawless cover, its just perfect....worth the money. I use a few different shades light for winter, medium summer, and a few darker shades to use as bronzer....
