Extreme Cajun Gumbo, Gumbo Base Mix, Louisiana Seafood Base, Soup, Crawfish

I'm from Louisiana so Gumbo is one of my favorite meals in the South. I've tried several different Gumbo mixes and the Extreme Cajun Gumbo brand is definitely my favorite now.Since it feeds up to 12 people, I halved the mix so I could make seafood Gumbo first and then cook chicken and sausage Gumbo some other time. I used shrimp, crabmeat and salted chicken stock to make the seafood gumbo. The recipe says unsalted but I like my salt and it worked out perfectly. For the rice, I wanted to try two types. I cooked white rice and I also cooked dirty rice. I cooked the dirty rice down without adding any other ingredients to the rice.The Gumbo is really good over white rice, but excellent poured over the dirty rice. The flavors mix perfectly together.. After about 3 days of eating gumbo, I froze the rest. It is true that Gumbo gets better every day after it is cooked.

We actually met the owner of this Gumbo mix one night on Bourbon Street in New Orleans! He told us about this product and that it was for sale on Amazon. So, we decided to order some and give it a try. I sure am glad we did!! This is SO good and very easy to make!Thanks for that! I really appreciate it!

Let me start by saying this gumbo kit packs a lot of flavor and heat. A lot of the box mixes and bases you get are heavy on salt and light on other flavors, but this kit will actually make some downright good gumbo. This is definitely going to become my go to for gumbo for when I don't want to have to make it from scratch.

Absolutely loved the gumbo. It is the best I have ever had. It makes a ton which is a huge bonus. Looking forward to more from Extreme Cajun cooking

Made “Extreme Cajun Gumbo” on New Year’s Daywith a andouille sausage and boneless chicken thighs. Absolutely delicious, incredible flavor with just the right amount of “spicy”!!Can’t wait to do the next batch shrimp and crab!!

This is really good, I recommend buying it, you will not be disappointed at all.

Taste like heavily over salted cardboard. They sent me two packagea, I used one package in a gumbo and ended throwing away the whole pot along with the second package. I'll never order this mess again... absolutely awful and disgusting... I was thoroughly disappointed.

I grew up in south Louisiana... Let me start by saying, I've eating a lot of gumbo. This gumbo is just as good if not better. Good stuff !!!!
