Invaluable
Comprehensive reference for the home restorer including tasks that are best left to the professionals. Loaded with good advice, methods and pitfalls for someone heading down the restoration path. Originality stressed throughout for those interested in maintaining an original result. Safety upgrades for several weak areas even though not in the strictest definition of originality. Well worth a read.

Must Have for 6 cylinder TR restorers
Covers the complete process, from selecting a good restoration candidate car, to finishing the interior. The only issue is due to the language differences between the UK and America, (the author is English). They, (the English) have different terms for things like hoods, fenders, wrenches, gasoline etc. Mr. Williams is thoroughly knowledgeable and the color pictures are a big help. Definitely recommend it to any 6 cylinder Triumph owner or prospective owner.

Roger Williams in the best automotive technical writer that I've come across
Roger Williams in the best automotive technical writer that I've come across. He just doesn't throw in a bunch of pictures and let you determine which is associated with what paragraph. Really detailed, technical and to the point. All aspects of restoring the Triumph 6 cylinder versions.

Will need a more specific book on TR6 . . .
Centered too much around the TR250 and TR5, for my tastes that is ! And sometimes things are not sufficiently graphic.

The book is only an overview of restoring a TR6 ...
The book is only an overview of restoring a TR6, however, it is greatly LACKING in the details of restoring important component groups such as rear-suspension, front-suspension, engine, trans, etc.

For the enthusiast
This is a great book on restoring Triumph TR5-6.So why not a 5 star review? Well knowing the cars so well I am nitpicking a little. For myself I would like to see a little more on the driving dynamics of the IRS Triumph sports cars and how you can maximise this during a restoration.Great book for anyone with a TR.

Essential Reading for TR5/250&6 Owners
In keeping with his established style, a very comprehensive and detailed text by Roger Williams. Plenty of photo's and illustrations (some of which, to be fair, are not as clear as they might be. An example includes a few related to fitting the hood). All in all a very useful publication to have on your shelf and a perfect companion to Bill Piggots "Originalty" guide and Williams own book "How to Improve the TR5, 250 and TR6".
