Carol's Daughter Black Vanilla Hair Smoothie for Curly, Wavy or Natural Hair, Shea Butter Hair Mask For Dry and Dull Hair, 8 Oz

I expected the average deep conditioner but got much more !! This is so awesome. This was not orange either as it looks in the picture. It is a white creamy color. (I color my hair with clairol 10v blonde which is very blonde) I colored my hair as usual washed the color out while taking a shower and I used this to conditioner on my hair afterwards leaving it in for the suggested 3-5 minutes while I finished my shower then put it up in a towel while applying my makeup then let it semi air dry. (my hair was very soft to touch, even the ends) Before it was completely dry I applied small amounts of the conditioner less a dime size but rubbed it in between my hands to apply to my curls from the sides, back, front, underneath and top then scrounched it all over. Wow ! My hair looked great. The humidity didn’t bother it at all and I was able to reapply a like water and a little more conditioner to style the next morning too and was so happy. My blonde curls look just great! The consistency is like a very very thick peanut butter, slightly sticky but in a good way lol but smells so pretty. I am definitely throwing away all of my alcohol styling gels.

It is a great product. When you apply it to your hair. It soften the hair up. So you can style it better. I recommend any of carol daughter product. Love Peace Respect

This is so light and it smells wonderful and it feels great on your hair. It's not like any hair grease I've ever used. My hair is soft and very manageable I put it on right after I shampoo and, by the way I use Carol's daughters shampoo and conditioner, and it works fantastic.

Scent: I tried this because vanilla is my all-time fav scent. Unfortunately, the smell isn't as amazing as, say Warm Vanilla Sugar from Bath and Body Works. But, it's def not bad. And it's not a super strong smell, so I don't think it'll offend anyone but the most staunch vanilla-haters. Softness/Shininess: My main concern for my hair is improving luster. I figured this would be about the same or better than Sacred Tiare (my intro to Carol's Daughter products). I have 2B hair (with some 2A and 2C) that's not terribly dry, but it does get somewhat frizzy and dull randomly. Sacred Tiare was a godsend for my hair; it made my hair super shiny and super soft after 1 use. This product hasn't had quite the same magical effect, but it has made my hair shinier and softer than if I hadn't used the product. I think I would need to use a lot more of this or leave it in a lot longer (not sure... I'll try both) to get the same results as a tiny bit of Sacred Tiare. Overall: I will be keeping this jar, but I won't be buying it again. I will go back to Sacred Tiare once I finish with this.

I used this as a deep conditioner and had great results with it. I did use heat with it but it left my hair feeling very soft and hydrated. I liked the scent and consistency of the product. I would recommend and would purchase again!

Love the smell and how moisturized it leaves your hairs

I guess I was looking for a "cure all" for my frizzy hair, which is why I purchased this. I followed the directions to a tee, but I didn't see a huge difference. It was either too soft (almost looking greasy) or frizzy. Maybe it's just me and my hair and I'm still figuring it out. If it helps, I've got medium length wavy brown hair. Looking at these reviews, it seems to work for lots of people so give it a try and see if it works for you.

Ok. Call me impressed! I love the scent of these black vanilla products. I tried the travel size shampoo and leave in with no results. I tried the hair milk.. Nothin. I tried this smoothie expecting failure. At last I was wrong. Small bottle for the price. Weird texture and I only had to use a lil. Goes on smooth. I parted my hair in the center and each side into quarters. I put on a platic cap I kept it in overnight. My hair was soooo soft it was unreal. I have 4b/c low porosity natural hair. I think if I add a heat cap the results will be even better. My hair was volumimous yet smooth.

J'ai acheté ce produit depuis des années et je remarque que la texture est très différente que d'habitude.... La texture est filante on ne peut même pas récupérer une noisette. C'est vraiment désagréable... Je préférais la texture d'avant qui était bien crémeuse.. et quand on le récupère dans les mains il n'y avait pas de problème... Par contre l'odeur est exceptionnelle.

Love the texture of the product. You can also feel the softness of your hair immediately after use. Don’t like that it’s a small size for such a high amount. Otherwise, really good product

I really like this, my hair is thick and wavy and it makes it soft and shiny without being greasy. The container is smaller but you don't need much. I don't use conditioner and I wash my hair with lush shampoo bars, and I find this helps my hair stay very manageable and soft until my next wash unlike regular conditioner has done. I leave it on pretty much my whole shower and rinse with cooler water. The smell is very nice but doesn't seem to stay in my hair long.

Straight forward to use - applied and left on for 7 minutes after shampooing/before conditioning, hair felt moisturised and less dull after using. Happy so far. Type 4 curly hair.

It's very moisturising it leaves the hair soft and so easy to detangling!! Smells amazing!!
