ZULU Ace Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle with Removable Base - Leak Proof Lid - AntiMicrobial Spout, 24 oz, Ice Blue

I've been a fan of Zulu's other products for years, especially their Atlas bottles. When I come across the Ace bottle, I had to get hold of a few as it addressed a minor issue I had with the Atlas bottles which was filling up with ice. With the removable base on the Ace bottle, it's made it alot easier to fill bottles quickly with ice opposed to inserting 1 cube at a time with the Atlas bottles. The secondary benefit is the removable base allows easier access to clean the bottles.These will likely be my go to bottles during the warm periods of the year where I subsist on copious amounts of iced water for work and fitness as the vacuum insulation will allow the water to stay icy for longer which is the only drawback of the Atlas bottles.I'll likely keep using the Atlas bottles during winter as iced water is still icy even after hours past.

Heavier than I expected

When it works, it's amazing! The water stays chilled for hours and the locking mechanism helps with preventing accidental spills. However as shown in the photo, the silicone strip to help open the bottle is broken only after 7 months of use.

I bought this thinking it was stainless steel only to discover that the bottom (which can be removed) is plastic and it gave a weard taste to water. Product returned

The media could not be loaded. EDIT: the bottle not only leaks when taking a drink but when upright as well (see time lapse video). Looks like I'm returning the bottle after all. :-(Great size, fits in a standard cup holder, and fits well in my hand with a good grip. The rubber spout has a good mouthfeel (versus hard plastic), and the convenient push button to open is awesome. Also love that the bottom comes off to allow for much easier cleaning. That being said, it's not leakproof. Every time I take a drink a single water drop makes its way out of the space between where the bottom unscrews. I have tightened the bottom so much who knows if I'll ever get it off again, but that one drop keeps coming through. Pretty sure I'm going to keep the bottle though because I love everything else about it, but that one drop every time I drink might get to me after a while.
