Sticky
used to replace a previously applied strip and this is extremely sticky compared to last, assuming that the surface and area is perfectly clean this strips sticks perfectly. Make sure that the strip is kink free or you will find it harder to apply. Will update in the future if it does not stand the test of time

Does not adhere well at grout line
Not bad but when applying to tiles you tend to get a gap where the tiles join together at the grout line.

Super Sticky!
We bought this for replacing the silicone seal around the bath. We tried to use the silicone gun, but couldn’t quite get the end result we were looking for.A friend suggested this caulk tape roll and said it was just as good as the silicone gun. It was very easy to apply - I just had to make sure the old silicone was all off and properly clean the edges around the bath and make sure they were properly dry.Applying is super easy - just press it into place! Another tip my friend gave me was to heat the roll up slightly with a hair dryer before applying it. This makes the glue a little tacky. Then once it’s in place give it another blast with the dryer and press firmly in to place. It’s also a good idea to fill the bath with water before applying the tape. This way it is in position for when there is a load in the bath. All in all, I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend.

Don't expect this to be waterproof!
Please don't buy this is you want a waterproof seal. I expected some sealant strip where the back tape is but found it is cheap double sided sticky tape. These is no way over time this will stop water passing through. The tape is hardly sticky either. Either it peals away from the back of the silicon strip as you pull the top cover off or when you have stuck it down on the surface you want it on. I have sent this tape back as it is no way fit for purpose to prevent water going down the back of the bath. If you have this in place the best thing to do is put a bead of silicon behind the tape to give it a better seal. It is such a shame as it is easily heated and goes round a bend without cutting.

Great idea, average product
Due to a poor bathroom design the silicone would always go black quick due to water not properly draining. Sick an tired of re doing the silicone beading so I tried these strips.I bought 4 rolls in two packs, two rolls had a slightly green tint to them(hopefully you can see in pics) and of them two rolls the pvc came off with the backing tape rendering one roll of green tint useless. Didn’t want to try a more expensive roll as this was more a test, but the adhesion is great once stuck, heated the strips up once on with a hairdryer and I’m happy how solid it feels.Should they need replacing or I get sick of the green tint I might plump for a more expensive roll so I hopefully don’t have any of the above issues....

It worked well for me
This product had a lot of very good and very bad reviews. I was keen to find an alternative to silicone sealant so I thought I would give it a go as it was not that expensive. I was fitting around a square shower tray so this was to flat surfaces which no doubt makes it much easier. The wall it had to adhere to was a wall board so did not had the grooves that you would get with tiles. I cleaned the surfaces with white spirit and warmed the surface with a hair drier, also warming the seal. It has stuck really well, looks neat and I am very pleased with the result. I am not sure it would have stuck to a curved surface and can understand if some people had trouble with this.

cheap,effective and clean finish
The tape arrived early which was a pleasant surprise. You get enough tape to grow around two bath tubs in a corner i would say- we used about 60cm and there was still at least half of the tape left.We were replacing the old grotty bathtub sealant that has been there from previous tenants 6 years ago.The tape has made the bath tub edges look neat and bright, which you don't think about until after you put the tape down.definitely use a sharp stanley knife to keep the corners neat too. you need to put down some silicon sealant first around the bathtub before putting the tape over then finish off with line of sealant on top and bottom of the edges of the tape to avoid it peeling up in the moisture.

Just what I needed, but potential issues with adhesive need understanding
When looking for a caulk strip for my particular situation this product seemed to be ideal, but I was not sure why there was such a disparity between reviewers on the stickiness. Because this product was silicone it had the best material characteristics (flexible, stain resistance, anti-fungal, and chemical resistance) for what I needed so I decided to take a chance and look very closely at what I received before I used it.There *is* an actual reason why the reviews on the "stickiness" are so varying, and here is why: Silicone is an extremely slippery material, and what was happening was when the person peeled back the paper backing the adhesive was able to stick to the paper and separate from the silicone strip. If this happens it won't stick to much of anything. When this happened to me on one end I quickly stopped, trimmed that end off, and started carefully from the other end, and the adhesive was able to stay on the silicone side without any problem. You just need to be careful that the clear adhesive gel stays on the silicone strip and is not stuck to the paper. After doing that correctly it is EXTREMELY sticky and quite hard to handle if you peel the whole strip in one go. It has no problem sticking to anything including your fingers! My advice when using this as advertised is to get the paper peal started correctly, and then continue striping it as you go. But because this is so sticky you are probably best to fold the strip in half, press it with some weight for a little while, before stripping the paper back so that the silicone material will naturally want to be in the 90deg shape before even starting. That way it should be easier to handle once the paper is pealed back. If you slip it may be difficult to separate it from your wall/tub/shower/fingers once it makes contact, so work it slowly by folding first, pressing the folded edge into the corner, and then unfolding it as you go.Ok, my particular circumstance is probably different than most (see photo) other people. My shower enclosure was installed incorrectly by the installer and there was no proper water barrier sealed between the wall and the shower platform. To make things worse, the platform is attached to the floor and the expensive granite was adhered directly to the wall, and with normal humidity changes in the house, the two surfaces moved independently by just a fraction of an inch or so, but evidently, just enough to split and tear *any* caulk I might apply into the seam or to that edge between them. Everything I have tried so far only lead to having an extra shower room in my living room area below, coming through the drywall ceiling. So, what I did was to run a small bead of clear silicone along the wall, and another on the platform, pressed the calk strip into the corner, flared out the two halves, and then squeezed out the extra silicone at the edges, and wiped off the excess. This allowed me to adhere the strip to both sides and gives the silicone strip some ability to move independently without the normal shear forces that cause the tearing action. I used a mold/mildew resistant silicone that goes on white and dries to clear, and the end result is it looks great and should be able to handle the normal shifting between the two parts. Silicone is very flexible. If it ever does split the bright white silicone will make visual inspection very easy and should be quite noticeable and thus happen before I ever need to re-drywall my living room again. I also placed several water leak detectors/alarms under that platform so if it ever does leak again I'll know about it immediately!

Not good for corners
Do not recommend I used this on my shower I was sick of applying messy caulk. At first it seemed great I watched videos on how to apply and cut the corners properly. I didn’t stretch it as I applied. The corners all pulled back and we’re gaping. I tried to put a little regular caulk to make it work after that happened and over 2 weeks of showers every corner was visibly gaping again so I pulled it off. It came loose too easily from the wall and was visibly wet underneath
