I'm really happy with this SPF lip cream. So many times colors are not what they seem but this one was spot on. Love the color. It's creamy and stays on really well and the price was in line with others not as nice. The actual purpose of skin protection is why I bought it. It is nice however that it lasts and protects making me look a little more put together than a plain gloss.

I bought this product because it was SPF 30 and rated highly by EWG and had decent reviews on Amazon. However, I was quite disappointed. Basically, imagine trying to apply sightly waxy chalk to your lips. It was very dry and impossible to apply smoothly, especially if you have any flakes or lines on your lips which it settles into. That means that even when I did apply it, the protection was patchy. In addition, there is an intense white cast but because of the texture, lip color applied over it looked bad as well.

I am writing about the pink shade spf 30 lip balm. I have been looking for a tinted non nano and non toxic for me and the planet spf lip product for a long time now. Finally found this product and I am so happy with it. It doesn’t burn or itch the way most I've tried do and it stays on and moisturizes for a looooong time. I LOVE the pink shimmer frost shade and would have chosen it as a lipstick as well. I am convinced it works on any complexion too. The only aspect I would change is the fragrance/flavor. I would prefer a floral option (rose/violet/lavender). The texture seems to be a problem for some but pretty much any seriously non toxic lip product seems to have this issue so I accept it. Just bought a second one for my purse. Curious to find out when I will run out (I wear spf year round daily). Thank you for making this product!

Overall a good product. I have fever blisters and this is the only thing that helps. However, I know it says the same formula, but I swear the amounts have changed. It feels like it has more oil in it and I have to constantly reapply when before I didn’t. This one melts off pretty quick.. Also the hemp or cod whatever it is is STRONG. Not hating but definitely doesnt seem like the same ingredients or measurements.

Update Feb 2024: I purchased this again. Much less grainy this time. The color is just so pretty, I had to try again. I was able to rub this on my lips and "smash" some of the grains/small balls. Several times, not all dissolved-so weird grainy lips. Did a great job protecting lips but I prob will not purchase again :( Jan 2023

I play a lot of beach volleyball and my lips get burned often. I was looking for a natural lip protection, but was tired of having white lips. I found this pink zinc lip protection, and I love it! I get so many comments on how pretty the color is, and it keeps my lips protected.

I had to buy this product twice. The first time, what I received what expired. It was crumbly and difficult to use. The second time, I ordered from a different seller (My Happy Home) and what I received was A) not expired! and B) much easier to use. It glides on nicely. I'm sure if you cake it on it might appear whiteish, but if you apply lightly and rub your lips together I don't think it's noticeable at all. I can't say I've had a chance to test its protectiveness -- I don't think my lips have ever gotten burned, as far as I know -- but it seems like a good product so far!

This lip protector is a terrible product. It fails in two major areas: It smells rancid, so much so that I can't stand it right under my nose! Secondly, it does not go on smoothly--like it's beyond it's "best buy date"; I literally could not get it to go on my lips easily. Unfortunately, I didn't try it until it was past the window of time to return it. I definitely do not recommend it.
