Stop THIS is the floor 20โ fan youโve been looking for!!
I have been looking/researching for a while now to purchase a nice size floor standing fan. I decided on this Stanley ST-20F fan for three reasons the name, color and reviews. It is made in China. Love the yellow color, easy to spot and the color coating helps seal the metal and reduces rusting. Love the quality this fan was made with, they provide you with a tool so you can loose and tighten the two outer bolts that control angling and those actual bolts also have plastic caps on them also to protect from rusting and damage. The back bottom of the fan has metal clips so that you can wrap the power cable around to keep it nice and tidy. The black plastic/rubber feet are nice of material and isolate any vibrations, and to that my fan has no vibrations at all through all three speeds, not even high, the fan assembly is balanced perfectly! The CFM are L/M/H 3,600/4,200/4,800 it is very powerful and move a lot of air. The fan blades are a two piece design where the actual fan blade is riveted the base plate, which means that the blades themselves are made well and balanced. As far as sounds goes my fan is super quiet, of course you hear the fan spinning but it is not like an airplane turboprop like some cheap fans sound. Looking forward to years of use, I will be calling the manufacturer to find out if the bearing in the motor is ball bearing or a cheap sleeve bearing and how best to lubricate it and which lubricant they suggested. The power cord is made of a little hard/tough plastic that think should have been be a little more flexible but I guess with time and usage that will become softer. The only very weird thing is that if you goto Stanleytools.com website there isnโt any listing of any kind of fans, the manual that came with the fan clearly states โSTANLEYโ but the customer service information is from a company called Pinnacle Climate Technologies Inc and their website provided is masterindustrialproducts.com which also doesnโt list this fan but one that is exactly the same but has black metal cage and a yellow fan blades with a model called MAC-20F. At this time I cannot register for my one year warranty as both websites do not offer me a way to, but a phone call to them this week should clear out this issue. I am very happy with my purchase so far. Thumbs up!

Cute, powerful fan that creates lots of air flow to cool down your space
VERY happy with this fan! I live in an area that is hot in the summer, but cools down significantly at night. This fan is powerful and brings in the cool air so quickly, I can turn off my AC and enjoy the fresh air of the beautiful summer evenings. Bonus is the aesthetics - I love the bright yellow color and can leave it out without feeling it's an eyesore. Other reviews address the noise level, but I think for the price point of this fan, the noise level is acceptable and doesn't bother me. Overall, it's perfect for my apartment, I'm really glad I purchased it, and would definitely recommend it.

This fan will blow you away with how powerful it is.
I personally love the sound of the fan when Iโm sleeping, so the fact that these sound like Iโm on an airplane is wonderful for me. I realize that not everyone enjoys that level of white noise when they sleep. This fans move the air like you wouldnโt believe. They are complete powerhouses when it comes to airflow. If itโs hot, crank one of these up using the four buttons on the back of the fan (the first button when you are looking at it is to power it off... the other three buttons for vary the speed. The manufacturer was not lying a single bit when they say that, on the highest setting, Itโs operating at 4800 rpm. The absolute only thing that have found wrong with the fan is this: when youโre on top speed on tile floors, unless youโve put something that grabs the floor (like the stuff that goes down under a rug to keep it laying flat and not sliding around). If you donโt do this, the fan will wander all over the place. I usually have to buy a new fan every summer, but I doubt there will be a need to this year. Almost forgot... no matter what, make sure that the fan is turned off. If it is on, the blade is spinning fast enough to make it want to catch air and fly around the room.

A Penny Saved Is A Penny Earned
Facts: 1.8Amps, 220W, so it says on the back. I got this fan because I want to reduce cost of the succubus energy guzzling AC unit here in Tucson where it gets near 110 degrees some days. It gets sooo hot that my AC unit just pumps out room temperature air accomplishing nothing, becoming ineffective. I need something that push air when my AC unit can't do anything. It works great. I have a small studio apartment and probably don't need a 20 inch fan as it blows far more air than I thought it would. Shocked me actually, but I'm keeping it because it's white noise loud for sleeping (noisy neighbors), and it reduces the time it takes for my clothes to dry being that I hang them in my apartment. Normally it takes 9 hours or so to dry but with this fan it only takes 2. The video I uploaded shows how much air it really pumps out. These T-shirts are dripping wet heavy and the one swinging the wildest (2nd or 3rd from the wall) is about 12 feet away from the fan on the lowest speed. Right now it's 96 degrees in my apartment. I have the fan about 7 feet away and I had to turn it off for a bit because my arms were freezing cold. When it comes to cost, I calculated it would be about $10/month if used 24/7/30dpm on the low setting which would save me about $30 to $40/month in electric. In a couple of months it'll pay for itself making it FREE, hence, a penny saved is a penny earned. I admit, I enjoy a breeze more than I do bone cold chill air from an AC unit. I only use AC to prevent my body from just being drenched in sweat and this covers the job. I listen to frequent podcasts and noticed I only have to up the volume about 10% because of the fan noise is somewhat louder than the AC unit. Unfortunately, the fan I received was freakin' USED with DAMAGE. There's smudges and scratches on the fan blades, and damage to the point of wires being bent and paint scratched off. Someone tried (horribly) to cover up the damage with after market paint, which is soft and obviously not the original paint, which is hardened, perhaps anodized. the motor works but there's no way a person would pay new price for this so I sent it back and told amazon to ship a NEW fan, not a used one. I'm not paying new for someone's banged up used fan. This is only real disappointing factor here in that Amazon keeps sending me used items with damage.

A great fan for my 2 car garage.
I bought it because my unheated garage is also where my wall workout equipment is and the garage is heated and cooled only at the whim of the weather. It heats quickly in this weather. But this fan circulates the air well enough fast enough that there is very little lag time needed to start deadhangs and etc. The only thing is it such a great fan that I keep lugging it back and forth into the great room between many workouts (.since Iโm trying to avoid very high electric bills for bills.) because it works better than my fans in there. .I donโt mind it lugging it all that much but I wish it were silver or ivory or maybe black instead of bright yellow, so it would go with my decor.

Well blow me down.
I have two of the smaller Stanley fans and I have found them to be very reliable and move a large amount of cubic feet per minute. Due to the size of this fan, the noise level can be a bit overwhelming. The cubic feet per minute output of this fan on high is exceptional.

I'd buy it again, but I won't have to. It will last.
Stanley makes some of the best tools that I use to repair my car. They stand up. I got this to circulate the air QUICKLY replacing the entirety of the volume of air in my upper floor at night when the air temperature difference is enough that it makes more sense to use a fan. It's all I really need. Gretta might actually like me for that. It does a great job and can move the air impressively provided I have another window open for the air to circulate. To me, it's a tool, not a cheap inexpensive fan that I will just get rid of. This is a keeper. Yeah, it's loud. It's likely not going to be on for a long time unless you really are in a hot summer. In that case, try the air conditioner. If that option isn't available, this is your fan.
