I'm still getting used to the discolored water, but I know it's healthier for them. I ripped one leaf down the spine and put half into each of my 2.5 gallon tanks. One of my boys almost immediately went to rest on a portion of his leaf that curved down under the water line and the other often hangs out in the shade under his.

Good size leaves. None are cracked or broken which is surprising for dry leaves. The shrimp like it :) Arrived quickly

I was so glad I was able to find these on Amazon for my betta tank. If you purchase at the pet store they try to overcharge you and barely give any leaves. I am glad I found them here and they were great leaves.

These leaves work excellent in my tanks keeps them super clear and algae free!! Stop buying those expensive aquarium products this is a very cheap alternative that actually works better!

The peoduct arrives in shrink wrap making them difficult to remove in one piece, though ultimately this matters little. I placed 2 leaves in my 10 gallon tank for several hours and there was no change to the water color, casting doubt on the amount of tannins being released. I then removed them and steeped them in boiling water for another hour or 2, whereupon they released the smallest amount of tannins possible. Both the leaves and the cooled tannin water was added to the tank and left overnight where no change to water color was observed. I recommend purchasing a better quality leaf from a different store.

These leaves are not whole as pictured, they have all been cut with scissors, most of them not even cut vertically. They tend crumbling apart in the bag, and none have stems as pictured. If I could give 0 of 5 stars I would.

I will be using this in my 3 gallon tank. I read and watched several informative videos on how to properly use these leaves. Some customers complained that the tab is wasn’t released and the water didn’t turn. Well here’s a tip, remove your chemical filtration your charcoal filter that is. The filter is designed to remove chemicals including tannins from your tank. So if this is what you want to place in your tank you have to remove that filter. Hopefully you have biological and other filter mediums. I have natural plants in my aquarium so that helps keeping nitrates and other toxins at a minimum.Update: I finally got around to placing it in my tank. The water did not change one bit. I only have biological filtration, I removed the chemical (charcoal) filtration. So there's that. It's a 3 Gallon tank so 1/2 leaf should have done the trick.
