Zippo Vintage Lighters

Lights up every time, so long as you've filled it in the last 2 or so weeks. Big, beefy flame that lights anything you throw at it and doesn't singe tobacco like jet lighters tend to. Everything about these lighters are perfect from beginning to end, which is why Zippo has endured for so long. I'm never buying a disposable lighter again.Here's some tips for when you (hopefully) get your Zippo:>Before you fill it, take out all the rayon balls and repack it. Make the wick into an S shape with the balls packed in as tightly as before: this will give you a more consistent light and make your fills last longer.>Don't be stingy with fuel: counterintuitively, a full Zippo lasts longer than an empty or half-full Zippo because there's less room for your fuel to evaporate.>Keep it cool! The cooler your Zippo is, the less evaporation: store it on an outside coat/jacket pocket or cargo pocket instead of a back/side pocket.

I purchased several of these as gifts for a large event. After seeing the Zippo Vintage Series I immediately fell in love with this 1937 replica. I find them to be simple but very classic. The high polished chrome is super elegant.To answer some common questions, this lighter is USA made, ships without lighter fluid (though you can easily add some to your order, such as  Zippo Lighter Fluid 12-Ounce ), it is a genuine Zippo item in original packaging and with all warranties, and it ships in the standard Zippo box. The ones I received did not come in any special "Vintage Series" packaging.Pros:- Vintage design with all the quality of a (modern) Zippo lighter- Solid, dependable functionality- Lifetime warranty from ZippoCons:- Polished chrome looks awesome in my opinion, but shows fingerprints and scratches somewhat easily. You may look elsewhere if this bothers you.- As with any Zippo, keep the lighter fluid handy because it get used and also will evaporate over time and with useSuggestion: In addition to the fluid mentioned above, I suggest picking up extra wicks and flints just to have on hand. For the marginal extra cost, it will save you from having to find and purchase them later. I bought this lighter a while back for camping and it works great in windy conditions (up to about 15 MPH). my only complaint is that the fuel can leak and the hinge on the case is a little loose. but overall it works great and I love that you can easily replace the flint and fuel.note: the lighter does not come with any fuel, so make sure you have some or it is useless.

I purchased this for my boyfriend for Christmas. It came in a cute little box too. Super shiny and easy to fill. He loved it !

As good as it gets if you need a good reliable lighter zippo has been making them for 100 years

The Zippo Vintage with Slashes is one of two Zippos I own (the other being a standard Street Chrome version), and this is definitely my favorite of the two.While it does run about $4 more than a standard Zippo, it is well worth the money. This Zippo is a Vintage Series 1937 model with some slight differences from today's Zippos. Modern Zippo lighters have a bit of a curved top, whereas this Zippo has a flatter top. Aside from that, it's not much different from any other High Polish Chrome Zippo other than the fact that it has some neat "slashes" in the corners.The performance is not unlike any other Zippo. I've conducted numerous tests in varying weather conditions and was able to get a light fairly quickly in standard and windy weather, at most having to attempt twice before I finally got flame. The lighter has been dropped numerous times on hard ground but I still get a very durable structure with very little horizontal play on the hinge. It comes in a little case like any Zippo would, with some basic information and safety precautions in the top part.One thing I didn't know, being that this was my first Zippo, is how fast the lighter fluid went. I use my Zippo for tricks, so I don't really need to light it often, but the fluid had evaporated completely in a bit longer than a week. I'd highly recommend a 12 oz. can of Zippo fluid and also a card of Flints (run about $5 including shipping, or you can find them at your local smoke shop or take them out of a disposable lighter). This applies to any Zippo, of course.I am very satisfied with this product. It is an essential for collectors and just cool to be able to have a unique Zippo model that many others may not have.

A friend showed me his new zippo with the soft flame butane insert. PERFECT! I am in my sixties and I remember giving up my zippo over the fuel leaking issue. Always loved the lighter but there is no fun in having lighter fuel spill into your pocket. This new insert is the same reliable flame but with no spillage issue. The problem was that I had to buy a complete new lighter with the old style insert and then also buy the butane insert. I know that to some folks that makes perfect sense because you make more money that way. However I got the message loud and clear, F you very much for doing business with us. I like the product but you hurt your brand with me.

Zippo quality, seems durable

As with every Zippo, you know what to expect as far as quality goes, and this meets all expectations. Finish is perfect, insert code matches, etc., and best of all, you can give one to a friend who's a real stickler about things, and they'll absolutely love it, until they touch it, and then you can watch their minor psychoses come out as they go crazy wiping fingerprints off it! d;o)SHIPPING NOTE: this may not apply to all shipments BUT, mine came in in a too-loose plastic bag, which meant that the box had opened and the lighter itself was bouncing around during shipping. Luckily, the box and the lighter made it OK, but this COULD create a problem, and should be noted by the shipper/reseller prior to shipment in future. A little tighter wrapping would solve this, and maybe a bubble-bag wouldn't hurt either."Individual shipment caveat" notwithstanding...great product, exactly as expected. Worth buying, for daily use, or for your collection of classic Zippos.

Great little lighter, super stylish. Only complaint is that you will burn through fuel quickly, so it might be worth the investment to get the butane insert.
