Review: This thing is awesome - I’m lazy when it comes to preparing breakfast and I was looking for something quick and fulfilling at the same time and saw this cool toaster for hot dogs and tried it ! Gotta say I’m impressed ! Set up was pretty simple , the hot dogs cooked fine ( I’m eating rn as I type ) and it taste great ! Some thing I noticed — so it holds 2 hot dogs and.2 buns but I found 2 buns don’t fit so you’ll have to probably put one at a time ( see the video ) , setting 4 seems to cook just right ! No funny smoke or smells like the disclaimer mentioned —— I usually slice the hot dogs whenever I cook ( fry on a pan or grill ) so the inside cooks and when it came to removing the hot dog. One of them got stuck cuz the wiener expands when it’s cooked and the slice got caught on the hot dog wire holder thing . Not a big deal but something to take note of ! All in all I’m impressed ! This will come in handy in the morning especially since I don’t have time to actually cook something , this is grab and go ! If you’re looking for something QUICK and easy ! Watcha waiting for ! Also love the retro look !!!! My apartment kitchen looks dated and it ads to the retro look fo sure !!
Review: Who knew how great this would be? - This thing is fantastic! Turns out the main reason people eat sandwiches more than hot dogs is because hot dogs are less convenient to make. At least, that's how it seems around here, since after getting this people are eating a lot more hot dogs. (No, don't worry, you can get hot dogs that are high quality, all natural, don't have preservatives, etc.) There is a bit of a trick to using it. Since buns tend to get warm first and may burn if you cook them as long as the dog, we set to the middle setting. Run the buns and the dog the first time. After it pops up, take the buns out and plate them, then run the dogs one more cycle. That way you don't burn the buns. They come out fantastic, some of the best cooked dogs we've had. One caveat—we always tend to buy dogs and pre-cooked brats that have a casing on them, not casing-free. We actually haven't tried with casing free, so not sure how it does for those. But all in all, we use this a lot more than we though we would. It's really pretty fantastic.
