Cape Cod Polishing Cloths - Excellent!
I purchased the Cape Cod Polishing Cloths to maintain the pristine appearance of a new watch and to remove occasional light surface scratches. I’ve been thoroughly impressed with their performance. The set includes two cloths housed in a resealable pouch, with each cloth individually wrapped in PVC material to keep them separate. This thoughtful packaging helps preserve their effectiveness over time. A little goes a long way—you only need to cut a small strip for each use, and the cloths are well-saturated with the polishing solution. Even a tiny piece is enough to achieve excellent results both on stainless steel and gold, making this a cost-effective option for keeping metal surfaces looking flawless. After multiple uses, I can confidently say this product delivers on its promise. If you’re looking for an easy and reliable way to maintain your watch, jewelry, or other polished metal items, I highly recommend Cape Cod Polishing Cloths.

It is truly magic! Deserves TEN stars (apart from the smell)
I bought this product to clean and polish jewellery and watches. It is somewhat greasy, and the described 'Pleasant Fragrance' is far from pleasant in my opinion (it does stink!) - but it remains MAGIC. I have used it to polish gold and silver and the stainless steel element of various watches and they all now look like new. It removes old scratches, even from steel, and it imparts a beautiful shine when buffed up. Items should be washed after polishing and this will enhance the finish. (Make sure watches are water resistant.) Oh and wash your hands thoroughly after use - it is harmful, or fatal, if swallowed. But it is still MAGIC! Edited 9 Feb 24. I have now used this product for a few weeks and it remains MAGIC. The greasiness is a little messy, and I continue to be very careful how I handle these wipes, but what matters to me is that they really work. The 'Pleasant Fragrance' (or 'stink') doesn't seem too bad now - perhaps I'm getting used to it! Highly recommended.

Very effective but a little pricey?
The product is excellent and works very well. Buy you only get a small amount of impregnated cloth so I think it is a bit expensive I think. I would not buy again as there are alternative metal cleaning products which are just as good but you get more for the money.

It's lives up to it's legendary status
Typical story of boy meets Rolex, Rolex meets handle of De-Buyer carbon steel pan... It was a small scratch, barely visible in the right light at the right angle. But I knew it was there. Me and my Datejust 41 were still in the honeymoon phase 48hrs after purchase and, it had to go. I tried using Dialux Vert de Paris (green polishing compound for final polishing of hard metals) but that just caused a haze of millions of tiny scratches not visible to the eye, but no where near the polish that comes from the factory. Next I tried a touch of Brasso on a cotton bud as it lists stainless steel suitability on the side. Same problem, but more of a haze effect. So far I was making things worse. After researching, all forums and YouTube videos pointed towards Cape Cod. And for good reason, it just works. I took some alcohol wipes used for cleaning lenses and wiped down the side of the watch, then taped off areas that I didn't want to polish with masking tape. Cutting off a small piece of the pink impregnated cloth, I then wrapped it around a cotton bud and polished the area in question. I kept refreshing with a new piece of pink cloth every time the cloth went dark grey, until I had removed the shallow scratch. After removing the tape and cleaning with another lens cloth I was ecstatic with the results. Same mirror polish as the Rolex factory had applied, minus 95% of the scratch. I can't recommend this enough if you have small scratches on the mirror polished parts of your watch (not brushed areas though).

Very good
Like this product a lot, they make items really shine and it does remove small scratches. I personally wouldn’t rub too hard as you are effectively removing a layer of the metal but with practice you can apply as much pressure as needed.

Amazing results from these small clothes and cleans up jewellery gold silver and other metals beautifully. Small scratches seem to disappear. Do need to wear clothes handling product as quite greasy with a strong but not unpleasant smell.

I’m impressed.
Amazing product. I had tried a liquid silver cleaning product on a vintage Hecworth Reproduction Old Sheffield tray that made some modest improvement. The tray was severely tarnished and essentially black. Thought I’d give the Cape Cod Metal Polishing Cloth a go…… amazing improvement. Next was an antique French ormolou cartel clock that was quite dull. I polished the clock with the cloth in an inconspicuous area and then buffed it up. All seemed ok so I continued to polish and voila !! The shine is amazing. And thirdly was an antique French 82cm brass clock. The Cape Clod Polishing Cloth continued to impress. Also easily cleaning off the white residue of the liquid brass product. I just wish I had done before and after photos because the difference is extraordinary.
