Great value and very well made
These are heavy duty well made suspenders that work great and are super easy to attach, adjust, and remove. They are comfortable to wear and seem to be durable .

Yup, I’m suspenders years old LOL
As an older, heavy-set man I find belts to be very uncomfortable when worn all day cinched tight enough to keep my pants up just under my belly when standing and walking. I actually bought these a while back but just now starting wearing them. A recent job change has me up and walking a lot so I thought I would see if wearing suspenders provided a better all-day comfort than a tight belt. Man, do they ever! The fasteners attach securely to my pants and allow me to comfortably walk around all day without constantly hiking up my pants and having sore hips from a over tightened belt! I can’t lie. I hide the suspenders under a fleece jacket so no one is the wiser but the comfort is a huge relief. My only complaint is when a fastener on the back gets knocked loose when trying to slide into a restaurant booth or a vehicle. It’s not easy for me to reach to re-clamp the fastener but I’ve learned to be more careful and no longer pop them open accidentally. The wide width of the straps provide all-day comfort and really good support. If you’re an old fat guy like me and you are wondering if suspenders are a good option I’d definitely encourage you to give them a try. They are well-made and feel like they will last a long time just like other excellent Carhart products.

Great suspenders for our larger guys
These are wonderful supporters to hold up my pants. I have a larger stomach and my belt can’t sit on my hips. With a cell phone attached to my belt and a heavy wallet and change purse in my pockets I need extra support. Even though I have washed these a few times they have not lost their elasticity I have purchased more of them and I put them on different pairs of pants that I wear through the week

Sturdy. Good for heavy work.
Some people wear suspenders proudly, while others won't even consider them. I was in the latter group, but once I tried suspenders (for comfort while recuperating from surgery), I quickly became a convert. I had thought that constantly tugging on your jeans was just one of life's fundamental principles. It's not. And if you don't like the look, they work fine under your shirt.Anyway, I bought 3 different kinds: Dickies, HoldUp Suspender Company, and Carhartt heavy duty.DICKIES: The Dickies are my favorite. PROs: they are inexpensive and the material is lighter, stretchier, and more comfortable. I am less aware of wearing them. They are my go-to for everyday, informal use. CONs: None. The HoldUps. These are the TSA compliant version. (Buy two, so you have a spare in case one breaks while traveling.) PROs: They make air-travel much less of a hassle. These are also a little nicer and would be more appropriate for a suit, although they would certainly work with jeans. They have a wide range of materials, colors, and hardware. CONs: The material is thicker and more rubberized, so you are more aware of wearing them and they are a little hotter in summer. Also the length adjustments are plastic and seem prone to slip, but not a big deal, and a worthwhile tradeoff to avoid TSA hassles. Expensive vs. the Dickies. The Carhartt's. These are for heavy-duty work environments. PROs: Oversize, high-quality hardware means they will almost always stay attached and that they will hold up heavy loads--think heavy waterproof pants for for fire-fighters, etc. (Still, they work perfectly fine with jeans.) CONs: They are heavy, 2" wide, and you are always conscious of wearing them. Expensive vs. the Dickies.(Same review posted for Dickies, HoldUp, and Carhartt.)

Consider layers
These are the most comfortable suspenders I've ever worn. When they wear out, I will buy them again.I've been wearing mine almost every day since April 24th of 2022. The clips are solid. The material of what they are clipped to wears down faster than the teeth. I've noticed this on jeans and Carhart work pants. Pants develop a worn streak at frequent attachment points. The uppermost two centimeters at the belt line takes the brunt of the abuse. However, none of my pants' stitching has ripped due to wearing these suspenders. As the pant material wears down, the suspender clips will pull off the worn areas when I stretch "too far" ( when reaching over, down, or up as far as I can extend ).Attaching my suspenders to a belt solves the issue so far. When I attach my suspenders to my nylon webbing belt, the grip is solid. I built my current belt about four months ago. I have yet to notice the belt wearing down. The pull is more even than when attaching to pants. The caveat of these suspenders is layering. The metal adjustment clips are fine without pressure on them. However, depending on the backpack straps I wear I have to fuss a bit. There's a sweet spot where I keep my camera strap routed. Sling bags tend to rub more than standard backpack straps do. Either way, the suspenders can be loosened, tightened, or moved for more comfort. I recommend testing with a loaded pack before going on a long excursion. There isn't a better suspender choice for driving.

THE QUALITY HAS CHANGED
My husband has worn this brand suspenders for years. The last 2 pairs were not the same quality. Sadly, they have changed in quality. The metal clasps don't stay shut and don't hold. One even broke off (at work). So to finish my shift I had to do some fancy "rigging" to a pants loop. THE QUALITY IS JUST NOT THERE ANYMORE. Time to find a better brand of sudpenders.
