I mostly ride asphalt or smooth trails with some gravel. The knobbies were slow and sounded like an off road vehicle rolling down the street, impacting the free coast greatly and taking away from speed and quickness. Switched to these and hadn't looked back since. I have about 300 miles on these so far and they have been performing extremely nicely! They look good, nice low traction profile and very smooth rolling with great performance in wet or slippery conditions also. They seem to track well and handle wet pavement, loose dirt and gravel with ease. Not sure about mud, but I don't ride in mud anyway. They are pretty fat, maybe more than I would like, but for the price I am happy.
