I never write reviews but I felt compelled to for this. I eat Pure Protein bars all the time, usually the chocolate or peanut butter flavors which are just alright, they get the job done because they are cheap and pack a lot of protein in. I decided to try a new flavor with the birthday cake, and it is absolutely delicious. If I close my eyes it’s almost as if I’m eating a birthday cake pop from Starbucks. Highly recommend this flavor. No weird aftertaste, wasn’t chewing for a long time, texture was better than the other flavors I’ve tried.

I bought the Pure Protein Lemon Bars as a dessert option. Overall, I’m impressed with how tasty fiber can be. Pros: Taste: The lemon flavor is refreshing without being too sweet or artificial. It reminds me of a light lemon cookie. Texture: Softer and chewier than some other protein bars I’ve tried, which makes them easier to eat on the go. Protein content: 20g of protein per bar is solid, and it helps keep me full between meals. Convenience: Individually wrapped, easy to toss in a gym bag or keep in a desk drawer. Cons: Aftertaste: Like many protein bars, there’s a slight whey aftertaste that might not appeal to everyone. Sugar alcohols: They use sugar alcohols to keep the carbs down, which can upset some people’s stomachs. Sweetness level: On the sweeter side — if you prefer something more subtle, this might not be your favorite. If you enjoy lemon-flavored snacks and want a protein bar that feels more like a treat, these are a great choice. Just be mindful of the sugar alcohols if you’re sensitive to them. I’d recommend them to anyone looking for a convenient, higher-protein snack with a refreshing flavor twist. A+++++

These Pure Protein Birthday Cake bars are decent for a quick protein boost on the go. They deliver 20g of protein and are conveniently packaged, making them easy to throw in a gym bag or desk drawer. The birthday cake flavor smells nice and has those fun sprinkles on top that make it visually appealing. That said, the taste is just okay. It has a sweet, cake-like flavor at first, but there’s a noticeable artificial aftertaste and the texture is pretty dry and chewy — not as soft or enjoyable as some higher-end bars. I found myself needing water to finish it comfortably. They get the job done nutritionally when I’m in a rush, but they’re not something I crave or look forward to eating. Fine for occasional use, especially if you’re not picky about flavor, but I probably won’t repurchase this specific flavor regularly. A solid middle-of-the-road protein bar.

Highly recommend. Texture is stiff think cosmic brownie density. Not light and fluffy cake. But it’s a protein bar so you have to know what to expect. They are thick so drink beverage with. The flavor is on point. Carb and protein sugars all macros in check. I use on the P90x plan. They are sturdy don’t melt or freeze. Don’t upset my belly. Celiac GF. Also like: deluxe chocolate, cosmic brownies, cookies and cream, Avoid: zig zag cake. It has horrible after taste I can’t even place. Somewhere between chemical, rotten potato, fishy, metallic. Unpleasant.

Kinda of odd-tasting, and had a somewhat chemical taste. But it was tolerable. Fun to try, but probably won't repurchase.

Love this flavor! Amazon is the only place I can find it. Easy breakfast when on the run or before the gym.

If you like cake pops - this is your bar! These are great for a snack or lunch on the go. The flavor is one of the best - very impressed.

Birthday Cake was horrible. Does not look like the image on the box. Dense and not chewy. Oreo was next worst, brownie is also really bad. Churro and Lemon were the only okay flavors but even then not worth the money. I love the concept of a low calorie high protein low sugar bar but this misses every mark on flavor and edibility.

If you wanted to taste a birthday cake, buy one. This tastes like a birthday cake had all its goodness and fun replaced with chalk. My goodness how did this get past a focus group

Deffo one of the better flavours by Pure Protein. Has 20g protein and 3g of sugar

I did not like these birthday cake bars. Flavor was strange so will not purchase again. Protein was okay for some energy.
