Husqvarna Functional Saw Protection Gloves, Large

Very comfortable and very good gear!

I read that they tend to run large, so l ordered a medium vs my regular large. The fit is perfect! They seem like they will hold up well, with generous reinforcement on the palm, thumb, and index finger. I cannot speak to the durability after two days of use, but I will update, if the wear out too quickly. Definitely an upgrade over the gloves I've been purchasing at that big H Freight company. UPDATE:: I have been using these since Feb 23, from time to time, and they are still holding up well. Granted I have not been doing much "Extreme Duty" type work with them, I bought these believing getting heavier duty gloves than I had been previously, would get me a longer service life out of them. And seeing that the price has gone up more than 20%, I am happy I bought when I did.

Comfy, protects the hands, don’t sweat too bad

No stranger to chainsaw work but recently bought some semi-rural property that requires getting more serious about it, and that means with safety as well. Bought these gloves together with the technical chaps. I always take an X-Large in gloves but was worried after reading reviews indicating they run big. I did not find that to be the case. My hands measure about the same as the reviewer here that posted helpful pictures: about 8" tip of middle finger to start of wrist and about 9" around. Sometimes x-larges are barely long enough in the finger for me, but these are just right, surely nothing extra. No weird tags or other strange issues others seem to have had. Of course the left is thicker on the backside for protection from the most common area for injury due to kickback. Not a flaw, it's a feature. Can't really tell if the pigskin on the palms and fingers is thicker too but possible I suppose. I held off on the highest rating as I don't know how they will hold up yet. Will come back and change if they don't. So far they have met my expectations and are in no way bulky, unwieldy or annoying.

I purchased these Husqvarna gloves for safety purposes after having a number of trees felled.I have x-large hands and these gloves in size 12 fit great. The fit is comfortable and as the old saying goes "they fit like a glove". The materials allows your hands the flexibility and comfort needed to operate a chainsaw for a number of hours. The grip is excellent and the padding on top to protect you hands does not interfere with manuverability of funtionality. Hopefully I wont have to find out how they are at protecting me from a chain kickback. While I infrequenly do this type of work I can see these gloves lasting for a long time. I compared these gloves to other makes in the local hardware store and for the price and comfort I believe I got a good deal and with great quality.

After owning and using a pair of these once a week during the fall and winter to cut firewood for about 4 to 5 years, it was time to purchase a new pair. The goatskin palms and fabric have proven to be durable for my use.

Heavy duty, will protect

I got these gloves to replace my FFS leather old school gloves that have disintegrated.. Out of the box they are soft, very playable and have a heavy feel during use.. But after using them for a few thinning, B and C trees felling jobs. They broke in but a bit sloppy.. I recommend getting the gloves 1/2 a size smaller so you get a good grip on the bar and gun sight of your saw or setting the choker on the puller..
