Dodge ball, yes. Dog ball, no.
Old school red dodge ball, decent rubber and tosses straight. Do not let your 20 lb terriers near, it lasted less than 30 seconds.

Poor quality
The quality of this is really really poor. My son played with it very minimally and we kept it inside, and yet only two months later I found it flat from a split at the seam.

Excellent Ball!
I bought these for my kids and they absolutely love it. It reminds me of the ball I used as a child in PE class. The ball comes deflated so you will need a pump to inflate it yourself. Once it is inflated it is great! So far so good that we even got another one!
