What a brilliant bit of kit. I’m going through a restoration phase with my old consoles and this is a must buy for the Dreamcast. The visuals are fantastic when run through this little plugin device, I had contemplated installing a build in HDMI to the Dreamcast but this has saved me loads of money. Doesn’t require any external power it literally is ‘plug and play’. Highly recommended buy

I have never written a review before on amazon (at least I think), but this HDMI converter was so impressive that it's worth leaving one for. Works seamlessly on a modern PC monitor and outputs amazing audio and video with no noticeable input delay. I've used AV converters before that cost twice as much and leave noise and artefacts, but this is truly as close as you'll get to perfection without using a HDMI mod on the Dreamcast console. A solid 10/10 for me, I'm definitely looking into buying the same brand for my original Xbox also.

Really good product. Easy to use. The only reason I haven't given a 5 star is because the connection to the dreamcast is a little shoddy. The plastic casing around the connector isn't the best quality and is very loose. It still works to a very high standard though so I am happy with the product

Quite tight with both the connection into the Dreamcast, as well as the HDMI cable into the unit itself - but it works quite well. When a game doesn't work, you simply switch off, flick the switch to RGB (from VGA) and I haven't come across a game I haven't been able to play yet. Most work with VGA, but some of the older ones are RGB.

This is a very good product as far as plug & play goes. I'm running it through my old 32 inch sony bravia tv & my favourite Dreamcast games are getting played much more now compared to my CRT TV. There are less than 20 minor games that don't work through this, but my faves - VF3, Speed Devils, Incoming, Daytona 2001, Shadowman, Sega Rally 2, Soul Calibur, plus loads of others, are now looking very sharp indeed. Speed Devils is a very good example, & Metropolis Street Racer as well, as these two looked rather fuzzy & blurry on the CRT, which is what they were destined to be played on. They now look really great thanks to this HDMI converter. If you go into dark areas such as in Shadowman, you can see the feint vertical lines present, but they don't show up in normally lit areas. In other words, well done Kaico, for making this simple plug & play device. Highly recommended & at a very reasonable price. 😁👍🎮

This is a well made product, designed to actually just work. I didn't want to mess around trying to get a dodgy cable to work with a Dreamcast and this seemed like it would do the job. It certainly did. It really is just plug and play and takes the uncertainty out of whether you have a dud Dreamcast or not. Picture and sound quality is good. Happy with my purchase.

I generally use an RGB SCART on my O.S.S.C. for all my retro console needs. However, using SCART on a Dreamcast puts out 625i image (or something like that) according to the O.S.S.C. Interlaced images aren't that great when trying to use old consoles on flatscreen TV's and for me, the flicker causes a mild headache. This will not do. I don't have a VGA box, these can get expensive. However, this great item puts your (amazing) Dreamcast into a 480p image, as if using a VGA & it is literally a night/day switch for my eyes. Plug it in, switch on your Dreamcast and I can search for sailors and get caught in a T.o.D in Marvel with a crystal clear pictured! No scanlines (if that's your thing) but for this price you really can NOT go wrong. My Dreamcast games have never looked so good, I'm playing it more often and picking up more games thanks to how this makes them look and I heartily recommend it. Also #FREEMVC2 !

I waited 20+ years to finally play the Dreamcast. This device works great with 4K TV. Plug and play!

I've been using this for a little while now on my Sega Dreamcast. It works amazingly well and my Dreamcast looks crisp and clear on a 4K Sony Bravia. Make sure when you put it in that you push it a little hard and a light should come on when you turn on the console. Easy to set up and use. The ability to turn on and off the VGA Box emulation is a nice feature too.

Does what it says in product description and converts VGA to HDMI for your dreamcast. Works well but with everything dreamcast you may have issues playing some games with it since it converts VGA to HDMI and certain titles do not support VGA output

Me he decidido a hacer la reseña porque he estado a punto de devolverlo. Al conectarlo, en seguida me gustó la representación del color y la calidad general de la imagen, pero presentaba tb unas líneas verticales, que sin ser excesivamente molestas, sí eran bastante evidentes en algunos escenarios....... Pues bien, indagando por internet dí con artículo que me hizo pensar que podría no ser problema del cable, sino de la consola......tengo 2 dreamcast, así que conecté la otra y.......efectivamente, excelente calidad de imagen y sin las líneas verticales. Me llegaron a la vez el de Pound y éste (que pedí porque el Kaiko de Ps2 es una gozada) y en mi opinión, el de Pound queda por debajo por una representación del color algo decepcionante, dando una imagen demasiado oscura en general, y con negros rotos, aunque curiosamente el Pound no me saca líneas verticales con ninguna de las dos consolas......imagino que tiene que ver con la gestión de la señal vga.....en fin, misterios de la electrónica. En fin, perdón por el ladrillo, pero imagino que no todo el mundo tiene la posibilidad e probar en 2 dramcast, así que quería compartie mi experiencia. Espero sea de ayuda.

Iv'e purchased this adapter for my well beloved dreamcast. It's just mindblowing how good the resolution is on my LG smart tv with this retro console. Rayman 2 played like a charm and other games as well, The only little downside it's the little HDMI-brick 's size.. when you want to place your console under your TV it can be tricky to place everything without bending the cable. It's not such a big of a deal though cause if you're know what you're doing it shouldn't be a thing. Anyhow: great adapter, and beware: it's not an upscaler.
