Would you order a 14-16 or. next size up if you were a 16 - also going to abba voyage will this be too hot as on dance floor all night!

I am a 14-16 and ordered that size and it fitted fine.

Are these elastic waste

No it is not elastic waist. It is a jumpsuit with a zip that goes down the front to the waist. Hope this helps.
