Awesome. Holds up in stressful conditions. Love it.
Ok. So I needed something to hold up my tablet while using my boating apps. Saw this option, and ordered it, hoping it would stand up to real , ocean, sports fishing conditions. When I unpacked it, first thing I noticed was it's weight. It felt solid. Sturdy. No visible metal components , a plus for salt water fishing environments. It came almost completely assembled, with two sets of "fingers" to choose from, according to your device's thickness. Fingers come with anti-slip rubber treads for better grip and traction. The mounting plate is adjustable via a concealed spring loaded assembly that gives you about half an inch of wiggle room. My 2015 Galaxy Tab A is heavy now that I added a ruberized protective case (also bought here, and loving it ) so I had my reservations regarding the weight+stress factors I knew the gadget would have to handle. I looked forward to that next weekend's fishing trip.In the meantime, I tried it out in my SUV, and saw it was very sturdy and stable, even through less than prime road conditions (I live in Costa Rica ).Anyway, fishing day finally arrives, I take out my now fully assembled mounting brace, stick it into one the customized, not standard beverage holders on my boat's console, turn the adjustment ring until the base expands to the cupholder's diameter, place my tablet, adjust for comfortable viewing from my chair...voilá! my boat suddenly has an added monitor from which I can use my various boating and fishing apps, that add to my resident electronics. I must point out that my boat isn't a big one so it will pitch and roll under rough conditions more than those big 30+ footers do.So, off we go. And I must say, it exceded my expectations. Going 20+ knots through rough water and wind conditions on a 22foot boat makes the vessel hit waves pretty hard sometimes. Everybody on board needs to hold on, all gear must be secured unless you want to see people and stuff bouncing about everywhere.Through it all, my tablet was held steady and safe. No problem whatsoever. Although, I must clarify, that I adjusted the heights, and angles in a way that it would hold my tablet in the least wobbly manner. Which is another good point for this item. Lots of possible positions available so you may optimize according to your particular needs. The one thing I would suggest improving ?Maybe add a small vertical tab on the fingers so they can better secure the device. Not that I had any problems with the way they are now, but I WAS weary of my tablet being knocked out of the brace on the few instances when the boat hit the water extra hard and made everything in it shake.Do I recommend it? Yes. Definitely. Good value for the money.

Best option for my iPad mini and great quality.
I have always carried my iPad Mini cellular with me and laid it on the passenger front seat. This is the absolute answer to my needs. I get in the car, flip cover back on my iPad Mini and insert it cover still on, in portrait mode in the spring loaded holder, takes seconds. I made all adjustments to positions before putting iPad mini in stand. It was a little tight because I have a small HHR and the cup holder is in an awkward position. Once positioned, it works GREAT! Stand is very firm. I tightened it in position in cup holder. There is a flange on top that finishes the mount in the cup holder nicely. The iPad is in perfect position to use while driving. It is at my finger tips with my arm on the arm rest. I have phone, imessage, maps for GPS when traveling to places I don't know, settings and the balance of my apps in folders all along bottom of screen. I positioned it upside down due to location of my cup holder to make the home button at top of iPad. Home screen on my iPad is all available video apps to watch TV movies, etc. This is so when one of the Grandkids are with me, they can pop this out of spring loaded mount and watch TV etc., going down the road. I also have two iPad mini's mounted with identical home screens behind headrests in back that run off HOTSPOT on this iPad. I call my car the Apple Car and it is Apple red as well. This stand enabled me to have the most up to date electronic setup in my car for a fraction of the cost of factory installed and I can move with me if I get another car. or even if I ride in someone else's vehicle.

Works best with smaller and/or lighter tablets.
Better quality than I expected based on other reviews. Overall, I'd call it sturdy. The claim that it's vibration-free is a bit off base in my opinion though. I think the amount of vibration or sway you get is dependent on the size of the tablet you're going to use it with. On the admittedly bad Los Angeles freeways, my 7-Inch LG G Tab worked well in both portrait or landscape mode, only vibrating badly on the worst sections of the freeway. It certainly isn't rock solid though. When I upgraded tablets to the gigantic Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2", I was surprised to find that when I checked the included instruction sheet, my new device would fit in this holder. Got it all set up with the longer "feet" that hold the tablet and installed in my car, only to find that it swayed terribly on the freeway at virtually all speeds and all types of surfaces. I only used it on the way to work that day and kept my hand resting on the tablet to keep it stable all the way there. Won't be trying that again. Don't get me wrong though, I don't necessarily think there is anything wrong with the product, but you need to have reasonable expectations. One last note, I wish there was a better mechanism for tightening the "cup" into the cupholder. If you overtighten it, it clicks too far and caves in a bit. I didn't see any permanent damage from doing it, but there's no way to know when you're getting too tight. I was overly cautious after that because I didn't want to permanently break the cup.

Perfect - except holding different-sized tablets
The cup mount works great, and the arm is extremely good. The only reason I don't give it 5* (and I returned it) is because the holder itself isn't finely graduated to fit your tablet. You have a series of differently-sized L-brackets that attach by sliding into a slot on the top & bottom edges. That's fine - they are sturdy, and you can mix&match for different sized tablets... But if your tablet isn't really close to the options that gives you, you can't tighten/loosen to fit, so it has to lay on the platform w/o being gripped. If your tablet fits (guessing is perfect for iPads, this is wonderful. Add an adjuster like so many other holders have and this is GREAT for everybody.

Schlechte Verarbeitung und sehr instabil.Erfüllt nicht das, was in der Produktbezeichnung drin steht.Des Weiteren hinterlässt es böse Macken am Tablet!

Good except...
It is a solid mount and fits very securely in the cup holder. The only thing that would make it better in my opinion would be that the adjustable holding mounts have a locking system. The slide out easily until something is in the mount. Otherwise an excellent product.
