My parakeet loves fresh food but was only given millet at the pet shop. I've been using a lot of low-fat seed blends and pellets to ensure he will eat much less millet and he accepts this pellet. Over a few months of gradual substitute of pellets like this he will take not only pellets but other more nutritious seed blends. The size and consistency of this food are good for him because he's small even for a parakeet.

My GCC loves the crumble pellets. I only trust RoudyBush for the health of my bird. To make sure she's getting adequately besides eating assorted seeds. A little bag goes a long way. The bag is pretty small in size which works for me because I only have one bird so I feel like by the time I'm done with one bag it hasn't gotten stale or been sitting around for a while. I would definitely recommend this bird food for daily health and nutrition for your bird.
