Will this accept Romax wiring? I just moved into a trailer & have found several outlets that don't work. How is the box secured?

Yes it works with romax. If you have several outlets that don't work I suggest you find the Ground Fault receptacle in the circuit and be certain it has not tripped; that receptacle if tripped will interrupt the entire circuit. Installation is straightforward...follow the instructions included.

Do these work with stranded wire too?

I would say that they would, if the strands were twisted. It's actually designed for a 14 gauge solid wire. I had to really work to get a 12 gauge solid wire to fit in the slot. Just be sure that the strand is twisted enough to be held securely.

Does anyone know of an outdoor weatherproof cover for this item so it can be mounted to the outside of an RV?
