NCLEX-RN Practice Questions (Exam Cram)

I think this book is great! I love the questions and how much info the rationals provide. However I hate how certain medication questions do not provide both names for the meds or it will give you something like FeSo4. I had to look that up to find out that it is Iron(II) sulfate. It is a learning experience right? I have the exam cram RN study guide as well. I use it as a reference when doing questions in this book,they both work great together. I have not used the cd's yet so I can not speak on them. Other ppl have said that this book does not break the questions into chapters based on topics which is true but say you are doing a question on cardiac then you will get several of those questions in a row before it moves on to the next topic. I do not mind that bc the Nclex will be a mix of everything so you have to start getting used to that. Also the cheat sheet is very helpful and comes in handy with a lot of the questions. I was recommend this book and I'm glad I have it.

I used this with the CD to prepare for my NCLEX and this book was such a great help. I used this along with Hurst review and I felt like those were the only two things I needed to prepare. The practice questions were very similar to the real NCLEX-especially the SATA, which is what I really struggled with. The CD I used when I was a few days away from testing and it shows you what you're weakest in and what your chances of passing are. I really recommend this book for anyone taking the NCLEX

Don't get the kindle version, for a few dollars extra get the book with the cd. The cd contains all the questions in the book, and gets you used to viewing your questions in a pc format. The con of this book is all the answers and rationales are in the back of the book. I like to know right and wrong as I go along (The cd does allow that btw). I had another review book that had the rationales on the right hand column and I could just keep the right side covered with a card or piece of paper until I wanted to look without flipping back and forth. I think it is intended to do a set of questions all in one go, but that is NOT conducive to good studying.

I used this book for both the RN and the LPN exam and found them helpful. I was able to buy the Kindle versions so I could study anywhere. The only thing that was inconvenient was I had to use pencil and paper for my answers as the book on the Kindle was not interactive. I found the content, however, to be challenging and relevant when studying for my boards.

This Book was amazing!!! The questions in this is what helped me pass NCLEX!!!!

This book states that it has a CAT exam but when I took the "CAT" exam which is supposed to give you harder and harder questions as you get the previous ones correct, I was getting the same questions no matter what my previous answer was. For example, I took the practice tests after taking the CAT test and saw that the CAT exam had the questions from the chapters but they just gave them to me randomly, not increasing in advanced or harder questions. I did take 3 or 4 out of the 5 practice exams. I used it to study for the NCLEX on top of watching HURST videos over a span of 1 month (not very helpful for NCLEX) and did Kaplan practice exam (also, not very relevant to the actual NCLEX). The purpose, I guess, is to get used to answering these types of questions, but in the end, none of the content was useful on the NCLEX itself. I only did practice exams to ease my anxiety as I awaited my test date. I did not sure any other content review except a few Hurst videos but like I said, those were not exactly helpful for the exam itself,

Great Nclex practice questions. I used this book to help me getting ready for my nursing state exam and it really helped me. Now I am an RN, and not even a month after I got my licence I found a job. I am more than thankful and blessed. I hope this was helpful and may your experience be as successful as mine if not better. Study hard!!!!!

I used this book as well as a study program and I truly believe this helped me pass my NCLEX! The questions are similar to one's asked on boards and the rationales are great! I passed this along to a friend (who also passed and greatly thanked me) overall tip, practice thousands of questions (and this book will help!)
