I bought this to replace a Lidl special that gave up the ghost after two years, so I was looking for a feature-packed unit that gave me all the same features. I was a bit reticent as this one was new to Amazon and had no reviews, but I needn't have worried - it is superb - and compared to others with the same features, by far the cheapest. The only thing I didn't get was the ability to put in a longitude/latitude reference to give more precise sun rise times, but I'm not that far from London so selecting that is fine. And I wanted one that ran on batteries and not the mains. This is really easy to configure and when I turned it on it took just a few minutes to pick up the time signal from Frankfurt so that is the date (in UK format) and time sorted. And even the outside sensor has an attachment so it can be secured in a number of positions. This is a quality unit with a clear display - the price should be higher and I would have paid more!

This works well, was easy to set up but the outside front casing is upside down meaning the logo is upside down on the top edge rather than the correct way up on the bottom front edge.

Shame really as the product looks good, reasonably priced with an array of readings - if only it worked. After setting it up ok the Menu button was inoperable so couldn't change the location, time or language from Berlin, Germany. Tried reset many times, even inserted my own batteries and repeated correct set up procedures many times. Even researched questions and reviews to no avail. Just couldn’t trigger the menu or other buttons to operate in order to change settings to GB/UK. Pity as it appears it could be a good product once working. So, sent back for refund.

I’ve finally got fed up with this unit. Everything works fine except the time. Having to change the time to allow for BST every six months is annoying but not the end of the world but 7 or 8 times a year the time will change for no reason. It’s not just an hour one way or the other either. Last month it jumped one hour forward the day after it came back. Yesterday it jumped 30 minutes forward, today it’s 20 minutes fast. It’s unusable and not fit for purpose.

This weather station works just as I hoped. The barometer is very much in agreement with the aviation weather forecast/reports, so my guess is that it is pretty accurate. If I have to mention something that can be improved then I would have liked the backlight to stay on a few seconds longer. Then again I have not studied the manual to see if maybe there is an option for that.

I'm happy with the base unit, but I'd have preferred the external temperature sensor to have had an external wire probe. I'm afraid the unit might quickly corrode if left in the open air. Apart from that, I'm happy with the product.

Good points: a very good price, it is a sleek, attractive unit, though much larger than my previous weather station. It has more features than I need - I want to know if the barometric pressure is rising or falling, but continually cycling through data for the preceding 12 hours is unnecessary and as the display is always on this goes through batteries quickly. I like the inclusion of the moon phase, and sunrise and sunset times, though my nearest selectable city is 50 miles away so it's not totally accurate. Moon rise and moon set are less important, it's always daylight by moon set so it's no help to know when it will occur. Bad points: even new Duracell batteries are lasting only three weeks. EDIT TO SAY THE OUTDOOR SENSOR IS NOW CONSISTENTLY READING 3 TO 5 DEGREES HIGHER THAN THE ACTUAL TEMPERATURE, WHEN TWO NORMAL THERMOMETERS (HANGING EITHER SIDE OF THIS FOR COMPARISON), TWO CARS PARKED A FEW METRES AWAY, TWO WEATHER APPS, AND THE LOCAL RADIO, ARE ALL IN AGREEMENT. i AM RETURNING THE PRODUCT UNDER GUARANTEE AS IT IS UNFIT FOR PURPOSE

Barometer easy to read and understand. Particularly like the button at top to operate the blue backlight which lights the display when it goes dark. Could be on for longer as doesn't stay on long but press again to light up again. Had a different make to this which was twice as dear and didn't perform as well.
