I am duly impressed, Mtech is providing exceptional value
Mtech is blowing me away with the value they provide in their knives. I haven't put any that I've purchased through any abuse or major stress tests, but have used them for routine daily tasks and couldn't be more impressed. I figured I'd get a fair to poor knife for the price, but having read the reviews decided I couldn't go wrong in trying one out. This Xtreme Ballistic has a smooth assisted open, locks securely upon opening and has a very sharp thick blade. The knife is very well put together and has remained exceptionally solid and given no wiggle in the blade at all under the routine tasks I've used it for so far. I really like the extra index finger ridge at the front of the grip for large hand and when using for more fine cutting tasks. It's a mighty cool looking knife too. Based on performance of this one I immediately ordered a couple of the next size, step up in the Mtech line, and will review them in near future. They arrived today, and so far I've only held and opened them a few times, wow! My impression of Mtech is that their products rival much higher end name brand knives, and are built at least as well as knives costing 5+ times the price of theirs. That is true value.

I like this knife!
I like this knife! i wasn't expecting a $100 high carbon steel knife. Nor do I want one for everyday use. This knife is what I was looking for to use on a daily basis. Good sharp edge, easy open, and looks good. and the most important thing, a great price. This knife is well built, the blade is not sloppy in the handle. The blade has a good edge on it. the liner lock is solid. And at his price if Something happens I throw it away and get a new one, Where with the $100 knife I would be more upset. All in all a great everyday knife for work on the Ranch.

Excellent Design, really sharp blade, good quality steel with good weight and balance. Highly recommended.
No doubts this is one great assisted tactical flipper knife. This knife has a comfortable grip with a two tone metal 440 stainless steel. This is a heavier knife in comparison to many other I have bought before. It also has a very sharp tip with an excellent finished blade. The blade can be sharpened to increase effective cut. This knife can be used for tactical purposes, self defense, camping, outdoors environment or some sports on which this knife can be used for. Although, I do planned to use this knife for our camping and hiking routines.I have oiled the blade in order to keep rust away even though it is stainless steel, for me this is a common practice anyway. I do always check and tight screws every two weeks in order to ensure that the knife set will hold as it was designed by the manufacturer. This is by far the best knife that I have bought for sure.

Sharp, good looking knife, too rough for daily use
I never realized it before, but that ridge above the top part of the blade is relatively useless. Unless you're stabbing something, which I don't ever do.The practical problem with this knife is when you reach into the same pocket the knife is clipped to, you scratch your hand up reaching past it. Too many unnecessary ridges on the blade and handle and they aren't smooth. Like my old knife in the picture. Same basic design but smoother finish all around so you don't scrape your hand reaching for your keys. The knife is a little too wide as well.I'm no knife aficionado, but I use them daily cutting metal seals in the oil field mainly. For daily use, I don't recommend this knife. But it is a more decorative design if that's your thing. Just my opinion.Having said that, the knife IS well built for $9. It feels solid, the blade doesn't wobble when it's locked open and it feels sturdy and reliable. These types of knives are notorious for losing the tiny screws that hold them together so get a T7 and T8 Tor X screwdriver, remove each screw and loc-tite it back in. Let it sit over night and the screws just don't fall out anymore. I've used many knives this way for years and they stop falling apart. Ignore the poor reviews that complain about the screws falling out or the clip falling off. They didn't use loc-tite.

Would recommend to a friend
I've bought inexpensive knives off Amazon before, and some were decent, some not so. However, I wasn't sure what to expect. I have to say I am extremely impressed with Mtech. Build quality and material are way better then the price tag. It is very solid. This is not a flimsy POS. It feels very durable. The assisted opener snaps that thing open very easily and it snaps in hard and stays. The release doesn't let it slip open and come down on your fingers. If it's open it's staying open. Very sharp and it looks really bad A$$. I will be buying a few more to have spares and give away as gifts. Put it in your cart, you won't be disappointed

2nd knife broke
The knife is nice, big and pretty sharp but this is my 2nd knife and they both broke in the same spot, the belt clip broke off where the screws screw in. Both knifes where the same and both broke due to the screws falling out and I tried to put them back in but once they come out it's over, I will still use the knife but I wanted a good pocket knife
