HP M2n68-la (Narra5) Asus Motherboard - 513426-001

Old Compaq/HP computer runs a critical piece of equipment in my facility. Motherboard failed. Was lucky enough to find this. Came with CPU installed, only had to swap the RAM. Direct replacement. No reconfiguration. Put it in, booted up and good to go...

The motherboard and fan came in good condition ... it allowed the geek squad to restore my crashed Compaq computer and restore all my pics and e-mails...and diagnosis a power source problem ...So far it's been working good ...

My four (4) year old computer using a M2N68-LA motherboard failed at the motherboard level - CPU fan and case fan would start then stop working after twenty (20) seconds with no further boot up process. Having found that Amazon is the place to go for nearly everything worth doing, I ordered a used replacement motherboard from their vendor IT Express since it (the motherboard) is both obsolete and not available. After taking the time to replace the motherboard with the "new" used unit, I found that the replacement motherboard video processor would not complete the start up. So I was "0" for "2" in this process. Moral of the story: there is no easy way to bring back an old computer. Time to just replace it (the computer) and move over the old hard drive. I suppose I should have just purchased a new computer on Amazon rather than IT Express's junk.Follow-up: After taking the motherboard in its original anti-static bag to UPS with the IT Express shipping label and IT Express's packing instructions and leaving it with them for proper action, I received a reply upon their receipt of the motherboard. They stated that the motherboard did not arrive in acceptable condition and that I was not entitled to a refund of the purchase and shipping price. So these people send me a bad board then refuse (because their shipping vendor UPS failed to pack it correctly) to deal with UPS. Instead, it becomes my fault on both ends. Avoid IT Express out in California in any way that you can. I hope that Amazon follows their normally excellent practices of dumping bad vendors and does so with IT Express.

The board was priced well and work d very well. Good product.
