Honestly great,
So ive been using these for a few months, im a fairly heavy build and obviously due to that tyres tend to ware down rather quicker that normal, now that im trying to loose a bit of weight these tyres seem yo been doing the trick, after 3 months cycling to work approx 5 mile round trip 5 days a week. No sign of damage or durability loss. Not even a puncture. Im impressed. Not going to lie i had difficulty actually getting the tryes on to the bike but did eventually. They fit snug and i will probably order another pair as a replacement. Highly recommended.

Appear robust
First the downside... They have a wired rim which makes them harder to fit than my old commuter tyres. Also there is more resistance through the tread pattern and a little more effort is required on hills. They are a more robust tyre with a good tread, and although I've only been out on them a few times so far, I do feel confident on more rugged terain ( gravel paths/ stoney tracks ). I think these are a nice balance between road tyres and mountain/ tractor tyres.

Highly recommend
Highly Recommend. I commute to work most days on cycle, mostly roads, approx 100km per week. Every 2-4 weeks I would usually pick up a puncture. I have had these tyres now for over 1 year and not had 1 puncture! They are excellent.

No more punctures!
These are really tough to get on, but are definitely worth it! I was frequently getting punctures with the original tyres supplied with new bike, and was getting extremely annoyed at the inconvenience. Bought these, and hey presto, no more punctures since - it's been at least 18 months since I fitted them. There are bike tyre pincer type tools which can assist with fitting them if needed, as the tyres are very stiff. I managed to get them on without the tool the first time, but needed it after removing one at a bike maintenance workshop.

Decent quality for the money
Not bombproof but a good compromise between cost and function.

Hard to get on, impossible to get off
Over two years, 4000 miles without a puncture I thought they were fantastic. Got a puncture on, thankfully, a short run and found they were impossible to remove from the rim with the standard tyre levers one has whilst on a run. After getting a lift home I found the effort required to remove them resulted in a damaged rim so not really very happy.

Great tyre - easier than expected to fit
Leave to tyre in the sun for an hour or so to soften - make it easy to fit!

Nice Tires, Good Value
I bought these tires for my older Specialized Crosstrail. It’s an older heavy hybrid. It was my first “Bike Shop” bike. It’s still a great ride. I mainly use it now as my morning workout bike and as a beach cruiser. Until recently I had only used Specialized brand tires. I keep specialized tires on my main bike, but they are expensive and only available through Specialized authorized retailers, of which there are none in the area I spend most of my summer. So, after doing some research I landed on these. I stick with puncture resistant tires because I ride on roads which tend to have a lot of debris in the shoulders and without puncture resistant tires, I was averaging at LEAST one flat a month and frequently more. First let me address everyone who complained about these tires arriving “folded”. These are NOT big discount store, el cheapo tires. Many higher end tires either come folded or in both folder and flat options. My primary tires, Specialized Armadillos, only come folded. And they cost twice as much. I prefer folded. I find folded tires, with their nylon beads, are substantially easier to install. And these tires were very easy to install. BTW, if you’re new to this, get yourself some good tire levers. I like the Park Tools ones. DO NOT use a screwdriver to mount/dismount your tires!!! I wanted to give these tires a few weeks of riding before writing a review. The ride is very smooth and comfortable. No issues with traction. Interestingly, on my last ride I was thinking that these tires ride really nice and that I need to get a review written. Then my rear tire got a flat. My first thought was “so much for puncture resistance”. Before dismounting the tire, I looked for the cause of the flat and could find no punctures or foreign objects in the tire. After dismounting I found the flat was caused by a spot where the Velox tape had shifted and the sharp edge of a spoke nut hole was exposed. I’m embarrassed to say that I usually failed to check to replace or even check the Velox the last few times I replaced tires or inner tubes. My Bad. So, in summary. This is a smooth riding, easy to install tire and so far seems to providing adequate puncture resistance. It’s a premium tire at a reasonable price. A good choice.
