Can I use this on my 1/4 " rubber lawn mower gas line to stop vapor lock?

I used the wrap to shield plugwires on a race engine to prevent burning and melting. I'm sure the wrap prevents some of the heat from reaching the wires, but the main purpose was to shield it from touching the exhaust headers and burning. So, not sure if it will keep enough heat away to prevent vaporl ock, but seems like a good choice to try.

Could you slide this onto the exhaust pipe instead of the wires surrounding it?

Maybe so, but it would probably break it down sooner. I would look for something from DEI for that application.

Will this stretch to accommodate something just barely over 1”?

I slid this over a three prong electrical plug.

Will your 1/2" work fit over 1/0 guage welding cable..The outside diameter listed for the cable is 0.55

Yes it will..the inner diameter is somewhat adjustable. If you pull it gets smaller and if you push it gets larger…not a lot but enough to slip over 1/0 awg
