Bought this as a replacement to my year old thermometer which you can be used only with armpit/rectum. wanted something easier but did not want to lose on accuracy with the new born in the house. this one seemed to be having all the things I wanted to I bought this and tried it out. it really works well and the pictures/instructions provided along with the amazon description was very straightforward and I was able to set it up real quick.I did not expect it to ship with the batteries so that was pretty cool that I do not have search my garage for the AAA batteries to try this out. I tested myself and my son and the temperature was pretty accurate and I am super excite about not waking up my son by turning off the sound. That is a god send since the previous one I had will make that loud noise which usually wakes up my son who have sharp ears.The build seems pretty rigid and I hope this stays the same for a long time. I will update the review in a few months to show how well it held up.

Very easy to use but may not be the most accurate
I bought this thermometer to replace an under-the-tongue thermometer that I was previously using. The product itself is very easy to use but it's very important to read the manual first. It seems like all of the settings must be set when you first install the batteries (included). It's a little inconvenient if you want to just put the batteries in and get to work, especially since the default reading is in °C.I took two readings to compare between using the scanning mode (with the cap on) and the in-ear mode (cap off) and compared the temperatures to my under-the-tongue thermometer. The under-the-tongue reading was 98.0°F. The forehead scanning mode read 97.9°F and the in-ear mode read 98.9°F. I don't know if using an ear probe cover would affect the in-ear reading but it has been consistently higher than the scanning mode when I haven't been using a cover.I don't have anything to reference, but I think the object temperature mode is fairly accurate since it is basically the same as scanning mode.Overall, this is a good product and worth the money. If 1°F is very important to you, I don't think this product is as accurate as you will need.

Very Nice
I have been wanting one of these for a long time. With my daughter being sick recently and whining because she was sick and didn't feel good i didn't want her to have to sit for 3-5 minutes with a thermometer under her tongue and decided it was time to get a accurate instant thermometer. To start I do not give anything 5 stars because no matter how good something is it could always be better, That said this is an excellent product for the price. It was within .01 of matching my 3 electronic under the tongue thermometer. So if you have no patients or small children this is absolutely the best way to get an accurate and temp. almost instantly this is a must have product for a you!!!

Would make an excellent baby gift
If you don’t have a forehead thermometer, you should get one. They are so much easier than putting a thermometer in a child’s mouth or under their arms. They work great for adults too.This is a nice thermometer. You can use it to scan the forehead and also use it in the ear. It’s accurate too. We’ve tested it against another thermometer that we were using. You can switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit. We have a one year old granddaughter and she is teething so this thermometer has really come in handy.It came with batteries, always a plus. Would make a nice baby gift.

Quick & Reliable
After losing many other traditional Thermometers I decided to buy one more Bulky so I won't lose it again. I chose this one because of the reviews and price. I tested it out this weekend and it gave fast accurate readings. I no longer have to wait a minute or two to get a reading. I feel like it makes my life easier. It's one of those items, you want in handy but hope you use it very little. So if you are in the Market, and want a faster method for reading your child's temperature, this thermometer is the way to go. Accurate and Fast 2-in-1 Thermometer!
My previous forehead thermometer is on its last leg so I replaced it with this one. I love the 2-in-1 forehead and ear options. You can switch back and forth by easily removing the cap. If you use Fahrenheit like I do, then you do have to set it to Fahrenheit when you first turn it on and when you change the batteries but once I figured out how to do it, it only takes a second. I compared the reading to my mouth and forehead thermometers and the readings were accurate. It also returned the reading faster then my other two. It's a good thermometer for a reasonable price.

Great!
My previous "branded" thermometer took a sh*t recently so i needed to replace it, but did not want to spend the extra money for just a brand name product. So i decided to try something different, this thermometer works great so far i used it quickly on my little ones as a test and came up regular body temp which is good. Now i wont have to worry about the next time they are sick. If you are looking for a more affordable thermometer this is it.

Buy this digital thermometer for children at home to test for the ease that indicates having this device, I can tell you that is very satisfied with the operation of the digital thermometer is small compact used to measure body temperature in front and heard directly, provides an exact measurement since you use this and the conventional mouth thermometer, you can save your previous temperature measurements this is very good in case you do not remember the previous one which can be read in Celsius and Fahrenheit I read that it has wireless data transfer not what I tried after doing it I will update this
