All the figures are hand painted and Made of Phthalate and lead-free materials. Excellent to make bath time more fun or in need of some travel toys to entertain the kids in the back of the car on a long or short trip. Do not forget the possible STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) implications that can be used at home or in the classroom. Wild Republic has specialized in designing realistic stuffed animals and educational toys for kids since 1979. From the Manufacturer Butterfly 12 piece set includes an assortment of colorful butterflies including a Monarch and some Swallowtails. Figures measure from approximately 2.25 Inch across and are made from flexible phthalate-free plastic with painted details with a reusable package.

What I do know is that my 2yo son loves butterflies, but is a destructive investigator/experimental beast. These are durable, look very cute, and the paint doesn't seem to come off with play. My son plays with these every day and they are still in good shape. I also feel these are fairly priced. They do not repeat. Each one is different. It would have been really cool if the underside of the wings were painted as well, but I don't feel this detracts from their value.

My toddler is obsessed with caterpillars and butterflies. We put some caterpillars in a large container wrapped in brown paper and waited 2 weeks, then we had these butterflies come out. He was overjoyed! They are so much better than I anticipated! Highly durable, nice colors, and the perfect size! Love them!
