But these... these are awesome! I wear a size 16 and got the XL and I love these. They are very comfy and fit well. The back 1/3 of the waistband is elastic and the front 2/3 is flat.When I first went to put these on, I thought that they would be too tight around the waist, since the elastic wasn't over the entire back half. But the elastic itself is very stretchy, not super-tight, so it surprised me. I do tend to be careful and make sure to stretch that bit as I'm putting them on, just to make sure that I don't put stress on the flat part of the waistband. And once they're on, the waist isn't too tight or anything. However, I returned the sizes that were too small and exchanged it for the larger size without any issues. The company was quick to respond and quick to refund. I went back and ordered the appropriate sizes and I LOVE them. They fit comfortably and perfectly. Now that I know the right size, I want to buy more!!I am typically a size 0 - 2, depending on the pants, and I am 5' 1" . The small was a little tight on the waist and a little short. However i like to wear my pants over the waist instead of at the waist. Medium fits perfectly!
