I made a 3 foot piece of PVC pipe with 2 holes at end for latch to make the product more efficient to use. I live in Florida and go through 2 of these a year. Review: Don't waste your money. Doesn't work - We've accumulated brown stains at the bottom of our pool due to what I believe may be pine cones that settled and absorbed into the pool floor. I bought this in an attempt to erase the marks. Unfortunately, all it did was wear out my shoulder from rubbing the blasted thing over and over again on the brown spots. It’s made of some type of hard rubber. Worked great on a rust stain that I had. **Q: I had calcium build up on my pool plaster. Can this be remove with this?** A: It did not work on my pool stains. Bug stains and plant stains. Did not work. **Q: Will it remove black plastic scrape marks from gunite?** A: I can't answer that! **Q: will this damage a freshly painted pool?** A: It's been awhile since I used this on a rust stain (that turned out to be rusting rebar down in plaster that needed major repair) but I think this eraser would NOT be good on freshly painted pool. Waste of money. ### ⭐⭐⭐ good for leaf stains and mild iron rust blemishes *by C***. on June 11, 2022* If you ever find that a piece of iron-based artifact has been roaming around the bottom of your pool from the pool cleaner pushing it around, such as a contractor’s rusted carpenter blade, this is not the product for you. I suspect this is a quick solution to leaf stains, is VERY surface friendly. But that means this isn’t for the deep tough stains. It goes quick trying to get rid of rust stains, and has a smooth plastic-like feel. Pumice is your next best bet, or going with a pole attached-controlled acid spot treat cylinder for iron stains. I wouldn’t buy this product again, as leaf stains go away with a directed shock treatment in between pump cycles.
