Honestly, for the price, it's been great, I use it all the time. So you can tell that it's maybe made with the bare minimum quality for acceptable build quality and acceptable durability. For $20, so what? It's lasted 9 months for me and shows no signs of giving out yet. I'm constantly moving it around, in front of me when I need it, away when I don't, pop filter definitely improved the quality of my recordings, and so did have this arm that I can easily adjust to sit the microphone right in front of me no matter how I'm sitting. It's great, and it even serves a dual purpose as a camera mount for my go-pro for some laptop tech videos I make. If you dont have one of these, and you want to try one out without a huge investment, I think this one has been super worth it for me and I wish I'd bought it sooner. If it goes out, I might buy a better quality one just for the sake of longevity, but I really dont see this falling apart any time soon. It's built well enough for the action it'll receive.

overall, it is a good stand! However, the length of the stand is something to pay attention to, I thought I would need a long one since reviews said that it would start breaking off or chipping their desks. I attached it to a small cubicle and so far it is holding up nicely! I do say that the hinges are VERY durable/tough. I don't have a lot of space to make the arm reach so trying to move it little by little, it gets frustrating. Also if you have the sphere type microphone, it moves around a lot. What I mean, if you were to make your microphone handing, the cord that connects it will make it turn very easily. There is not good grip to the microphone when it is screwed in. so it can still move 360 when screwed in. It does not become stiff. So take that into consideration if you want it to stay in place, it will not. But other than that, it is a great stand it works perfectly!

I gave it 4 stars because of the pop screen. The arm is entirely too weak and too long to hold up the round pop screen (which for a small object seems to be a little on the heavy size itself). I found I had to keep fiddling with it, to get it where it would stay, way too much. The rest of the arm though is great. Nice sturdy, clamp to lock to desk is strong, it was easy to install the attachment for my Blue Snowball (see my review on that) and holds it up nicely. All in all great budget mic boom arm. Won't break your bank and will perform as expected. Just don't get excited about the pop screen, I don't even use mine anymore. Hope this helps you folks.

Best mic stand ever works well on my carbon fiber gaming table

I have a blue snowball but because of my poor placement and lack of a pop filter/covering, the sound quality was not great. Echoe-y voice, and would pick up the sounds of my keyboard. As someone who plays a lot of games, this wasn’t very fun to deal with. Bought this, it was easy to install onto my desk with the clamp, and there were no issues putting in the snowball mic. The cover and pop filter also fit well. The only issue is that the wire that connects the mic to my PC’s USB port just kinda hangs around, so I just wrapped it around the stand. But since then I sound SO much better. Voice comes in clearly and it picks up way less background noise. My friends say I sound like a professional podcaster lol. I love that I can move the mic around easily. I highly recommend getting this if you’re on the fence. It’s definitely worth it.

This is my first time using a mic arm rather than using the given stand for my mic, and I'm rather pleased with it. The included pop filter gave a very minor improvement to quality (which is a plus since I would have paid the same price without it), and doesn't really fall apart or move much. Ive read some reviews from some time back where the mic fell or the mount didn't work, but I'm guessing that's been fixed, as I've had no issue whatsoever with the stability, sturdiness, or safety of using it. I would advise with using any mic or other gadget arm that it not be placed directly over something expensive regardless, but even if that's not possible, this arm will to the job very well, especially considering that it's 1/5th the cost of the one sold by the mic manufacturer themselves, and that one doesn't even come with a pop filter. Tl;Dr: Whether or not you're on a budget, this is probably the best mic arm you'll find for this mic regardless of price. It's just a bonus that it happens to be so inexpensive.

I highly recommend this kit if you need a quick setup and you don't have a high budget. The stand gets the job done without making any noise, and it is easy to move around. The pop filter isn't great at holding its own weight sometimes, but it still works well for the price. The foam screen is probably great if you have a Blue Snowball, but I don't use it because I am using a Samson Meteor Mic (the foam screen is to large to put over the Samson Meteor Mic, and it is MUCH larger than most mics that I have seen). If you don't have a Blue Snowball, then the foam piece isn't going to help, but I still think the kit is worth it for the price. The stand and pop filter are still useful, simple, and super cheap. The kit was easy to assemble, and I haven't had any problems so far!

The stock tripod for my Blue Snowball finally gave out, and I needed a stand for the lil bugger because, let's face it. I'm very attached to it. The pros here: - Inexpensive - functional - great tension on the arms - pop filter and wind guard work great! Now for the cons: - It swivels back and forth on base far too easily. Where the boom arm meets the mount. - the pop filter doesn't stay in place for nothing, and the mounting system for the pop filter is also extremely poor. - metal arm on the pop filter sags, as well, and is extremely loose. - poor capabilities for cable management, as the cable will occasionally become pinched in the arms of the boom upon retracting it.

Really nice purchase for my snowball mic. The mic stand is very sturdy and lightweight. Go for it if you are a content creator, musician or podcaster

Arrived quickly and mostly assembled. Everything fits perfectly, it feels secure when manoeuvring it, and people have been saying I sound much clearer through my mic now. Definitely a great investment.
