It does not stick out from underneath the outfit. It does come high up though. So if you are looking for something that won't be visible at the top, which I am assuming you are, I probably wouldn't go with this.

Very cute and quality is nice. Had to return because it was too small for my kid. I’d size up as it is cotton and shrinks heavily after that initial wash.

I think they all made by cotton, cause they shrink after dryer( May because I put on medium heat, should put on low heat motion). Feels so soft, good quality. I bought size 24month, after shrink, they all fit my 18 month baby perfectly. LOL
