Straight through 20mm Thick gauge plate
I have a 20mm thick gauge plate made from tool steel, not yet hardened but still needing something tough enough as not to brake off inside the hole So I decided not to get the HSS ones and got these Instead made from tungsten alloy. No problem using tap in a test hole, it went straight through. They look quality too. Wow I’m glad I can update my review because after saying how good I thought it was, it broke when I was only tapping Aluminum LOL at least the tap didn’t brake inside I guess

Worth every penny
Cheap by any standard but for the occasional use I need them for, perfectly good.

Decent tools at a good value but the box is flimsy
Got these for a quick rethreading. Did the job really well and will be a good ‘occasional use’ piece of kit. Needed to tighten the handles on the tap and die but this was quick and easy. The box is thin plastic and the set can move around if not kept flat. Aside from that, a decent purchase.

You pay for what you get - tap wrench cracked
Overall you could argue this is good value budget entry level set that will probably get you through some minor jobs. However my tap wrench cracked after only a short period of use, could be a casting fault just on mine I suppose, but left me halfway through a job with the tap stuck halfway through some steel. The taps seem to be good enough and before the wrench cracked I was quite happy with the set.

Preis-/Leistung überraschend gut
Das Produkt kam schnell und gut verpackt. Die Materialqualität ist augenscheinlich recht gut, muss sich selbstredend noch im Alltag bewähren. Da ich als Flugmodellbau erledigt dich Holz und Kunststoff und in ganz seltenen Fällen einmal Aluminium zu bearbeiten habe, sehe ich mit dem Produkt keinerlei Qualitätsprobleme. An alle, die eine negative Kritik zu diesem Produkt abgeben: man muss auch mit einem Gewindebohrer/Gewindeschneider umgehen können. Wer das Werkzeug beschädigt, ist ganz sicher selbst schuld. Ich empfehle das Produkt und den Shop uneingeschränkt.
