Excellent value in a big, tough, bag.
This duffel worked out great for me. I bought the 42" X 25" version to hold my backpacking gear so I could ship it as checked baggage on an airline. It held my backpack the Kelty Red Cloud 110, one of the largest packs made, two sleeping bags in compression sacks, two self inflating air mattresses, two self inflating pillows, a three person backpacking tent, stove, fuel bottle (new & unused of course). With all my gear stuffed in this inexpensive canvas bag.....I had one checked bag, there were no straps from my gear dangling and begging to get caught on airport luggage transport machinery, and the inexpensive canvas bag took all the abuse rather than some very expensive gear. This bag was exactly what I hoped it would be. I couldn't be happier. EDIT 5/30/2017: I just bought 2 more of these duffel bags. Same purpose as initially. I bought my 2 sons backpacking gear so these duffel bags serve as the protection when flying with our gear. But even close to home when I'm driving to a trail, I've started keeping everything in the duffel bags. That way everything is in one place and ready to go. All I have to do is grab one, two, or three duffel bags and throw them in the car. When we get to the trail head, all the equipment comes out and I just toss the duffel bags in the back of my SUV along with any equipment we don't want for that trip. These have worked out perfectly. I don't need them to look great. In fact, I like that they don't draw attention. I don't need them to be waterproof. I don't need them to be lightweight. I just need them to hold a lot of expensive gear and take the abuse of transport. And that they do very well. For those of you having trouble with the stated size, it's pretty obvious (after buying one) that the original stated 42" X 25" was a length and a circumference. It looks like since I bought my original, they have changed the listing to 42" X 15" which is the length and the diameter. They both describe the same thing, a cylinder 42 inches long with a 7.5 inch radius and 25 inch circumference. (D/2) = Radius . Pi X Radius squared = Area. Then Area X Length = Volume. In this case 176.71 X 42 = 7,422 cu in or 121.6 liters. My 110 liter pack fits easily but I don't have the pack loaded out to its full 110 liter capacity as I take the 3 person tent, bear cannister, sleeping bag, and air mattress and put them in the duffel loose. That fills the space and allows the pack to fit with the zipper closed.

Another great quality bag offered by Stansport!
I purchased this Stansport duffel bag to help hold my ground cover, screen wall, guide ropes, and tent stakes for my Kodiak canvas tent. The ground cover didn't come with the tent and I can never seem to fold the screen walls tight enough to fit inside the tent bag. I ordered the "small" bag which is still pretty large and I still have room for the tent stakes and guide ropes. I was surprised to see that I still have enough room to hold the ground covers for the other tents that we take for camping trips as well. I really like the Stansport duffel bags due to a past purchase where I bought a different style bag specifically for holding sleeping bags: Stansport Deluxe Duffel Bag with Shoulder Strap, Olive Drab, 50 x 30-Inch . Like my previous purchase, this bag is made out of good canvas and the materials are sewn together well. The zipper is plenty robust and glides smoothly across the length of the duffel bag. There are handles located on the opposite ends of the bag and one off to the side of the zipper. You'll also find rings on either side of the bag that are meant for a strap but unfortunately the bag does not come with that. For the price, this is a great deal and a good quality duffel bag that has multiple uses. I got the small sized one (36" x 21") and it meets my needs and then some. When I went shopping at my local outdoors store for a large tent fabric bag to hold my intended items in, I was surprised to see how much I would of ended up spending for something that was of lesser quality and smaller. Storing and packing my camp gear in the Stansport bags has proved to be an affordable and effective way to protect and organize my equipment. I recommend!

Versatile for Gym, Travel & Storage
Pros: Spacious & Roomy: This bag has a great capacity, making it ideal for carrying large amounts of gear. It can hold everything from camping equipment to travel essentials or gym gear, and the extra space is a definite advantage for extended trips. Heavy-Duty Construction: Made from tough, durable materials, it’s built to withstand rough handling. The reinforced stitching and high-quality zippers ensure that it holds up well over time, even when fully packed. Zippered Design: The heavy-duty zipper is sturdy and runs smoothly, providing easy access to all of your belongings while ensuring they stay securely packed inside. Multi-Use: The versatility of the bag makes it a go-to choice for multiple occasions. Whether you’re using it for camping, travel, or storage, its adaptability shines. Con: No Internal Organization: The bag is a simple, open compartment, which can make organizing smaller items challenging. If you like pockets and dividers, you’ll need to pack additional pouches or organizers to keep things in place.

Good for my purposes
I got this bag to carry a somewhat heavy 26" tall drum. Djembe bags of this size are not all that common and kind of expensive. They usually have internal padding and sometimes large pockets on the outside...with a price to match. The bag is longer than I need, but large towels wadded up at the top and bottom will take up the empty space and provide some padding. The fabric feels pretty sturdy although it isn't as heavy as the seabags I used to find in army/navy surplus stores. The centered carrying handle looks as if it is well stitched and will stay on without tearing even with a heavy load—likewise, the handles at each end. One reviewer was concerned about whether the bag's D-rings for a shoulder strap are attached well enough. I also wonder this, but won't know for a while. The dual zippers seem to be of good quality and the metal pulls are long enough. The length of the zipper opening is just shy of 30 inches. The photo attached to the review shows the drum (with d.i.y. EVA foam wrap) inside the bag. You can see the stitching for the central handle and the D-rings. I think it's well-made and is a good buy. Four stars for now because I can't be sure yet how long it will hold up (it will be carrying a pretty heavy load, after all).

Quality canvas bag
Really pleased with the quality of this bag, which we purchased to hold camping gear. Heavy duty black canvas and large two-way zipper. Purchased w/o strap, but it came with one. I would definitely purchase again.

Seems solid and well made.
I actually got this for a tent bag. My old tent bag had rotted out though the tent itself is OK. I bought an oversized bag (42 X 25) to make it easy to get the tent into it, As soon as I got it, I thought then I may order another to use as a duffle. It seems to be well made with good material. I carried the tent in it on a trip this past week. I think I'm going to use it as a second duffle bag for a 2 week trip starting next week. It's big and roomy and the zipper is 2 way. My old duffle has a single zipper which is always on the wrong end when I reach in the truck to get inside it. You'd think it would be wrong only half the time but no, it's close to 100%. I can zip this one with the double zippers in the middle and get inside from either end. There is a single sturdy handle on one side and it does not come with a shoulder strap.

Good duffle
This duffle bag seems to be reasonably rugged. The zipper is fine for the medium duty we expect to use this for. The stitching is good and double stitched where necessary. The nylon isn't the thickest but it will take reasonably harsh treatment. Stansport is known for good quality budget equipment and knowing that, I'm entirely happy with the duffle.

Check Measurements
Make sure you realize how enormous this thing is before you buy it. It seems durable and looks good, but because of the size the strap and handle layout is way too awkward to comfortably carry.
