Purchase train 2021 sound and pulling power good.

A nice locomotive, worth what I paid for it.

I purchased this locomotive on Amazon.com for around $100 and am very happy with it's performance at that price point. The locomotive has a suggested retail price of $300, however it is readily available for around $150 and can even be found for $100 if you are diligent. I will say that if I had paid full retail price for this item I wouldn't be nearly as happy, as it isn't the quality you would expect from a $300 locomotive, it's performance is consistent with that of a $100-150 locomotive. The locomotive is nicely detailed however it does not have a full Tsunami sound decoder but the sounds present are very nice and are sufficient for most modelers but at the $300 price point one would expect a full sound decoder. But like I said, as long as you pick it up for under $150 you will not be disappointed. One last thing to note is that the pulling power of this locomotive is a bit lacking as well, so you can add weight to it most likely to improve on that somewhat. All in all although not as nice as the Athearn Genesis models or the MTH models, it can be a cheaper alternative to those who are budget conscious. I would not be surprised if you could find this model commonly selling in the $100 range pretty soon, and at that price you can't go wrong.

I give this model ho scale train 3 stars because of the fine details. Far as the sounds not loud enough.
