Do the colors fade out? I’m looking to replace one from another brand that has certain colors barely working after 4 days of use. :/

Can you remove the battery part of the wire? i only want to use the usb and the battery part looks bad on my wall.

If you know how to properly splice electric wires then probably. But it does not detach otherwise.

no it does not turn off automatically - you would have to unplug it or take out the batteries (depending on if you use them or not; batteries are not required as long as you can plug it in)
