I was a caregiver for my father, who had dementia. He had a habit of getting out of bed in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. He had just come home from a hospital stay, after having two seizures, and had trouble walking. I needed to monitor his movements, and the Smart Caregiver Bed Alarm was exactly what I needed. I slipped it under the mattress protector on his bed so he wouldn't feel it underneath him. I set up the remote alert monitor on my nightstand. Whenever dad sat up in bed, the bed alarm would go off, alerting me that he was getting up. I was able to go and check on him and assist him with whatever he needed. It was a great help, because I was taking care of him by myself. My father is gone now, and I thought about selling it. I've decided to keep it; in case it was needed again someday. Great product. The only thing is that the remote alert monitor sounds like a doorbell.

This product is a blessing. I'm no techno genius, but I read the directions, set it up without trouble, tested it, and IT WORKS! My husband is very disabled, with very short-term menory. he gets up several times a night, forgetting to call or blow the whistle I gave him. Has fallen, had to call 911 to get him up, and on and on. I resorted to sleeping on the floor outside his room in order to catch him when he tries to stand. I slept on the same side so long, I started to get a pressure sore, myself, being no spring chicken. Now, with the bed alarm, I can sleep in the room next door, hear when he gets up, and get in there asap. The bed alarm has made a big difference in his safety and my peace of mind. My 89 year old Mom is a terrible fall risk, and has night-wakings sometimes due to her dementia. I bought this just after our most recent- and scariest yet-experience, when Mom was able to figure out how to lower the rails, and climb out of her hospital bed, and ended up sitting on her walker outside her room, next to the bathroom, late one night. She was loudly talking to herself about not being able to find her nurse's uniform so she could get ready to go to work. (Bless her heart, Mom retired from her nursing career almost 30 years ago... :( ) This pleasant little "chiming" alarm lets me know if Mom gets off of her bed, and (since she moves pretty slowly), it gives me time to get into her room and help her before she can get "out and about" anymore. What a blessing!! Thank you for this fine and USEFUL product!!

I got this for my mom. It worked well - when she didn’t pull it out from under her because it made too much noise. I tried putting it on the floor, then… to which I woke up to find her trying to step OVER it… so… I think it just depends on how devious your patient or loved one is!

I ordered this product 5 months ago for my 94 year old father who gets up in the middle of the night and needs bathroom assistance. Set up was very easy. We have it placed under a thin mattress pad and fitted sheet with an absorbent bed pad on top. Despite the layers, it still reads the pressure change of a 145# man. He doesn’t feel the pad under him. The pad does make a “crinkly” noise when he moves on it but with his hearing loss he is unaware. There are 3 chime levels to choose from and the sound is not too annoying—similar to an old fashioned door bell on repeat. We have not had to change the batteries yet. I highly recommend.

After my father fell yet again getting out of bed in a assisted living situation and ended up in the hospital with serious injuries, I bought this alert system because it had the remote monitor which can be carried by the care-givers. We have used it for 2 months, and it has worked wonderfully. We put the alarm pad under the sheets across his torso area. The alarm goes off as soon as he tries to sit up. That gives the care-givers time to get to him before he tries to stand. This has definitely prevented falls and gives me more piece of mind. My only complaint is that the care-givers have to remember to turn the alarm back on after they attend to him. If there was a reset button in addition to the on/off button, this would be perfect.

This was great for the caregivers for my mom who has dementia. Unfortunately, the pad stopped working after 9 months. Also unfortunately, a new 20x30 pad-only that matches the current monitor is not available. Will have to find it elsewhere. Too bad - it was great.

We had purchased one of these before, this was our second set. Great value for the money, helps to keep our loved one safe 😊 Highly recommend seller and product! Can be used for bed or chair. Three adjustable volume settings on the alarm. Take care. When programming and read the instructions. It seemed pretty straightforward in terms of setting up. If you have a problem, ask for help from a friend or family member.
