20V Cordless Hedge Trimmer, 51cm Blade, 2x Batteries & Charger

Very pleased with the Terratek cordless hedge trimmer so far. Used it for the first time today and surprisingly it was already charged. So much easier and faster than cutting hedges by hand!! I am petite and this is easy and light to handle. I didn't mind the noise at all, though ear protection is recommended. It glides over bushes, soft hedges and smaller twigs and branches (says up to 15mm - 10mm no problem today) Safely stops if you release the trigger. Looking forward to using it again and wish I had bought one sooner.

Excellent purchase. Really light and easy to use. Has made trimming the hedges so much easier. Battery run time is very good too. Good value for money. Would definitely recommend.

3 years and still going strong. Struggles with anything thicker than your little finger but that's to be expected with a battery powered trimmer.

My garden was very overgrown and I did a lot of research on which item to buy to trim it back. I was thinking I'd need a chainsaw, but they scare me. The Terratek trimmer is a great compromise and has done the job really well. The length of the blade makes it easy to hack through the undergrowth and reach places you wouldn't be able to get to so easily with a shorter blade. It's fairly light to use and has a good safety mechanism, whereby you have to hold it with two hands and press down on two different switches to get the blades to work. Obviously you still need to be really careful but I felt quite safe using it. It was great using sweeping movements through the thicket but it was also precise enough to cut individual branches or strands of bindweed. When my trimmer arrived I noticed that one of the batteries wouldn't charge. There is a little button on the battery that lights up three LEDs to indicate the amount of charge and this button didn't work either. The other battery was fine. I emailed customer services on the day my trimmer arrived (Saturday) and received a response on Monday morning, as they only work Mon-Fri. They posted out a new battery, which I received on Wednesday and that battery works just fine. I think this is excellent customer service! Overall I'm very pleased with the trimmer and I would definitely recommend it. It won't go through large branches, so if your garden is as overgrown as mine then you might need to use a saw on those, but if it does the bulk of the work and saves me from having to use a chainsaw them I'm very happy with that!

Works well cutting through large Bush. Have only used once so far but charge lasted. No problem assembling it. Weight was OK to use And it had a good reach for higher up the Bush.

This was bought August 24. It has now failed - the support window is closed. Used for small domestic garden with two hedges Used for an hour at time twice each year. I will not buy this product again.

Very light easy to use. Battery lasted whole edge which is on a corner plot, so large. Nice having 2 batteries, so although not needed had the battery run low could have replaced it straight away.

Initially I was pleased with this trimmer as it worked well and did a great job; on first impressions it was a terrific product for the price... However! Less than 12 months after purchase, and on only the 3rd or 4th time of use, it refused to start and then smoke started to come out of it, accompanied by a horrible burnt plastic smell. Looking at the reviews, others have experienced the same issue. I have removed the battery and left the trimmer to cool down. So - be warned that this trimmer can be prone to malfunctioning. On the plus side - the company have been great with sorting out a replacement, under warranty. Hopefully this one will last longer, as it's great when it works.
