The Art of Presence

Copied all my Tolle disks (Meditation:Practicing Presence too) into my BMW. I only listen to him now when I drive and don't worry, you won't fall asleep. It's not like that at all. He talks, you listen, sometimes you laugh. He's quite the quick witted soul and the 'funny' part is how true his jokes are. I mean, you just can't wrap your mind around some of his jokes unless you are at least a little bit awakened. I can still relate to him from a pre-awakened state of mind, but only because I can remember and sometimes go back into a pre-awakened state at will and listen to him (over and over) with that frame of mind. I can still see how unconscious people will just think he's nuts. This is something amazing and deeply right in the Universe. I cannot put into words how beautiful the world is when you see it for the first time as it truly is. We are mad, we are insane. I used to ask this question many times every day, "What is wrong with people?!!?" And now I know what the answer is.I even drive more peacefully. My Ego still says, go faster, go around him, cut him off he's too slow and it asks Why did he do that? What is wrong with him? and shouts, You A-hole! You add-profanity-here!!! even though they can never know how I feel.Now, even though I've always been fully aware of everything when I drive, I can see what color the flowers are as they whiz past my window. Meditation, but mostly understanding the Now, helps you in everything you do.There is peace and sadness to fully understand the insanity of people in this world. Everyday when I am around people; co-workers, family, friends, they remind me of how lucky I am to be in a permanent place of peace and Being while they are screaming, running to this or that, chasing happiness in vague dark corners of the 'mind-created-world'. Forgive them for they know not what they do.Again, thank you Eckhart. Thank you Oprah!

I recently purchased this CD.from Amazon, I have most of Eckhart Tolle's work. Although it may sound as though he is always saying the same thing (which he is) I guess. To be in the here, now. He finds varying ways to express this concept. We have different ways to "hear" what someone is saying and varying interpretations of a theme, therefore to reach as many people as possible he has found varying ways to "teach". Using humour, analogies etc.Deliberately confronting at times & gently supportive at others. Eckhart Tolle has a simplistic approach and teaching which is paradoxically difficult to practise.I enjoy listening to his work as it continually brings me back to what is important & reminds me not to get lost in the external. I try to listen to the CDs often as I find I'm continually hearing different messages. Hearing what I'm needing to hear. Listening to these is a great life learning tool & opportunity for growth to recognise your true self. I hope you find the joy & comfort when listening.

If you are Eckhart Tolle fan, no matter how much you've heard him that's just a great audio. I can listen to it few times and each time something else is integrated.If you never heard Eckhart before - get this audio asap, you won't regret it.Now, some reviews complained about the sound etc, I didn't find a problem.... a quite mind will hear just fine :) still, listening in your car will be wonderful but if you listen on your ipod it will definitely be great! :) so don't worry about the sound, don't postpone buying this audio just because you're not sure since some of the reviews mentioned it. Enjoy, it's one of the best!!

I have had an incredible time listening and find I play the same CD's over and over in my car where I end up meditating to E.T.'s voice and message. He does a great job of setting the stage for prescence to be infused throughout his talk which brings with it deep serenity and peace.Still listening and enjoying his talks and would highly recommend this for anyone who wants to hear about true Prescence in a simple but profound style unique to E.T.

It's been awhile since I bought this. I still listen to it all the time. It's downloaded into my car system. It's something that you have to listen to over and over not just one time. Enjoy it and be patient to understanding it cause it will change you!

I must admit, I have been so blessed now for a few years By Eckhart Tolle....reading his books, listening to his cds, and watching his dvds. However this product is very difficult for me to hear in the car....I have to have up as loud as I possibly can get the cd player to play and keep all windows up. Mr. Tolle is fantatsic....and it is as it is....no complaining but with all of his other material I've purchased(and that is a lot) I probably would not buy this set again.

I had heard of this product but did not want to purchase at its retail price. I found an used copy on Amazon. The price was reasonable, it was in very good condition and arrived quickly. I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Eckart Tolle presents a way of life that reflects what my heart has always known. It is all about the sacredness of Oneness, Love and Compassion. May this way of life catch fire and transform ourselves, our world and all that is beyond.

Really like Echhart tolle. He shares his thoughts in a very humane way, with humour and very easy to understand.

I have only listened to the first half hour of this so far. I find Erckart a bit difficult to understand. The commentary runs slow; this may be to focus you in the now, while listening. I will try again and post another review.
