But what about those will be using it there? Or in the Middle East? Or in the deserts of the Southwest US? The ebola virus is 0.08 microns in size. Almost no filter will remove this. BUT the LifeStraw Family filters to 0.02 microns, so yes ebola would be filtered out. That is if it mutates to survive in our water supply, which is unknown. **Q: Does it remove contaminants such as if we had nuclear fallout?** A: "Food Grade Zeolite" a volcanic crystal powder, removes radiation and has been used in both Japan and Chernobyl to help absorb the radiation in the people around those nuclear disasters. Zeolite is easily mixed with food or water and taken, and 1 pound with last a family for quite some time. It was cooked into biscuits during Chernobyl and given to children, decreasing the amount or radiation in their bodies by about 60% with just one serving!
