STILL The BEST INDUCTION COOKWARE SET you can get AT THIS PRICE RANGE AFTER OVER 13 YEARS!
I bought 1st set on June,10, 2010 and still using them regularly but I could not find the exact same set after. So when I saw this set a month a go with minor change in what is included, I had to pull the trigger. I use these almost exclusively for induction only with occasional gas stove use when induction is being used. Don't buy this set for shiny copper bottom because it won't last. If your cooking style involves using lots of oil, buy something else. If you use induction cooktop to steam, boil, and you don't want to spend alot of money to get durable set, get this! I have been happy with the 1st set for past 13 years and still going and very happy to add 2nd set since I can't seem to buy certain pieces I use more separately and at this price point, might as well get the whole set! Anyway I will copy and paste the review I posted over 10 years ago and nothing to change. "I have used this set for past 2 years banging around, burning stuffs on, scrapping off 1/4 inch thick burnt food off the bottom numerous times and just love this set! So dropped by Amazon to get a 2nd set and read some of the negative reviews and I was like, huh? Most handles WILL get hot if you cook long enough with high heat granted some more so than the other If you want to minimize that, avoid thin rounded off handles like the ones you see with this set and go with solid handles. Also you are buying a $100 INDUCTION capable SET and not one of those $1000 heirloom set. Don't expect same long lasting shiny surface. You want long lasting shine, there are high quality set around $600+. And some people were saying it is too light. That is one of the things I like about this set. Not everyone likes the weight/price of Le Creuset or the weight of cast iron though I have both of those as well. Each cookware has different ideal use. I use non-tef non stick pan for eggs on medium to low heat w/ slight oil. I use cast iron for cooking meat. You get the idea. I will explain what is so good/bad about this set after using and abusing for 2 years. The thickness of the cookwares aren't thin but it is not thick either like other cookwares so it is a bit light. Food will burn more easily compared to $200 a piece cookware due to thinner bottom. The shining will go fast. So why the 5 stars, you ask? It is because this cookwares compliments certain style of cooking perfectly at great price point. This set is awesome IF your method of cooking is boiling AND you have induction cook top ($60-100 for table top model) When you boil, you tend to use bit of water in there and gets heavy. Heavy cookware makes it worse. So lighter weight on the cookware is a +. The handle is thin and rolled off design offering wide gripping area which is another + handling the cookware filled with water. And anyone who use induction cooktop knows that hot handle issue can be ignored almost completely. If you use elct or gas, go with different models. You will not be happy with this one. BUT if you are looking for induction cookware set that you can use every day at good price/quality ratio, this set is the one! However, if you plan to to fry ALOT, you might consider investing a lot more money and get one pan with thicker bottom for frying only."

More bang for you buck
I had been looking and comparing brands, prices, and reviews for two years before finally purchasing this set. It was rated the best for a glass or ceramic stove top on tastykitken.com. I was skeptical about buying these pots and pans. I didnโt think T-fal would have a very good stainless steal set, but stand corrected. I absolutely love these pots and pans. First, I didnโt lose the number of pots and pans I had before purchasing this set. I actually acquired a 12inch covered fry pan, which in my search usually has to be purchased separately and cost anywhere from 50-80 depending on the brand. Second, the price was unbeatable. Again I didnโt loose any pots or pans and got it all at unbelievable price of 149.76. Great deal. These pots and pans are very heavy duty. With all that weight the handles are very secure and can support the pan. Someone stated in another review that their are seams where the copper and stainless steal were conjoined. This is true, but my nail can not get into or between the seam. I believe it will be able to withstand the use. I havenโt noticed any gapping with use. No warping either. They still sit as flat and the day I received them. I have cooked in these pots and pans several times. Everything from eggs, meat, to potatoes. It is a learning curve on cooking. You have to use lots of butter of oil if not things will stick. These are stainless pots and pans they have to be washed and dried immediately or they can rust or tarnish. If you are someone that cooks something and letโs your pan sit in sink for two days, these are not the pans for you. I would also suggest not putting them into the dish washer. Depending on how you load your dishwasher or how things sit in your dishwasher, water can stand on dishes making them rust. After cooking certain foods they can stain the pans, even with elbow grease it can be hard to clean. After boiling things water marks can be left on the bottoms. For these issues some bar keeper friend cookwear cleanser and polish powder can also be purchased on amazon. A teaspoon of this power rubbed on your pot or pan will remove any stain, water mark, or burnt food left behind effortlessly. These pots and pans look great and are a great addition to the kitchen. I donโt have to worry about the utensils I use. I donโt have to worry about the teflon no stick bottom coming off in my food, or the rust in the scratches. I wonโt have to replace them in a few years. A little more work in the cleaning and maintenance area but worth the quality.

Great set of pots & pans!!!
I bought the T-fal C836SD Ultimate Stainless Steel Copper Bottom and they work great. This is my second T-fal stainless steel set. The first set I purchased was for our short term rental property (T-Fal Expertpro Techno Release Stainless Steel Induction) as I needed something indestructible, dishwasher safe, and absent of non-stick due to personal preferences renters may have. They were awesome and I love them so much I decided to get a set for home and I bought the ones with copper bottom. My only issue with the copper bottom set is the handles get hot when on the stove, so I only gave it 4 stars total. My other set does not, which is much preferred. However, at home we have a gas cooktop (which I prefer) and the rental uses electric -- so that might be the cause of the difference. The pots/pans clean up easily. At times they discolor but a small amount of barkeeper (powder or liquid) makes them look good as new. The set I have in the rental have been used for over 4 years and still look brand new. I hope to have the copper bottom set for many years to come. Cooking with stainless steel did take a bit of adjustment but well worth the change. I also feel the price is much better than many other stainless steel where the cost is 2x or more. I would recommend these and I would buy again.

Awesome!
We got really sick of using anything with 'non-stick' attached to it. We ended up buying some stainless steel a few years ago and let me tell you, they're a pain the rear to get used to. These pans and pots heat up rapidly, are easy to clean, have awesome tops and a very sturdy design, and have looked great for the first month of heavy cooking. So awesome to have a set of stainless steel pots and pans for such a great price. Major problems with stainless steel- If you're a beginner, just know that everything sticks. You'll need to use oil or butter on everything, and even then you're going to lose chunks from time to time. Sometimes hard to clean-- if you're not familiar with stainless steel, simply put your burner on high immediately after cooking. Add water and some baking soda, bring water to simmer, then turn the heat off and let it sit on the burner until it cools off. Once done, you'll be able to remove almost anything (that is, unless you royally burn the hell out of the pan). Awesome parts of stainless steel-- You don't have to worry about nasty chemicals getting in your food, They're super durable Really easy to clean! These pans from T-fal are awesome. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to get away from non-stick.

Solid Set of Pots & Pans
I bought these more so for the pots than the pans, but both are still a very nice kitchenware. I do like the hybridization of both copper and stainless steel, to where it brings out the benefits of both. Copper helps distribute the heat evenly, while the stainless steel lends itself to durability. It's a brilliant hybrid design. Though these still being stainless steel, also lends itself to being very sticky, and alot of foods will definitely stick to it unless alot of oil is used. If not, it is quite a pain to try and clean as food sticks very easily to the pan. These pans are very durable though, and do not warp easily as they are made of fairly thick steel, and I anticipate these lasting a very long time. As a relatively minor bonus point, they also are very nice looking as well.

*Update, finish is only plating for copper, scrubs off. See review for updates
Update 2-17-2020. Reducing to 1 star. Besides coming mispackaged and unable to get it sorted with T-fal due to coming prepackaged from China, the copper is not actually copper, it is copper plating. It comes right off with bar keepers friend. I do like the stainless for being able to scrub and use metal utensils, but the fancy looking bottom and use of multiple materials is not what it appears. On our most used pan (the large frying pan) the bottom piece is separating from the rest of the pan. Very unhappy with the quality, customer service of T-fal (came in plain brown box as others have described, wonder if this is a fake item being sold on Amazon?), and that the construction is not what they imply it is. They say they have a lifetime warranty but T-fal is not able or willing to honor it? 2018-Great finish and look nice other than the stamped stainless handles. The lids fit kind of loose, and the vent holes seem huge compared to other lids I have. The said was said to come with a 1, 2, and 3 quart saucepan. Mine had a 1, 2, and another 2 quart saucepan. It had the lid for the 3 quart, but not the pan. Called T-fal and they said they get them prepackaged from China and that they could not get the 3 quart saucepan separately and that I should return them to Amazon. Makes me wonder how they plan on providing a lifetime warranty! They are not super cheap feeling, but I just gave away a set I have had for 15 years that I wish I had instead of these. They are quite light compared to what I am used to, next set of pans I buy will be from a brick and mortar store.

Average Quality for Home Use
I have had this set for about 18 months and have been using it several times per week, not daily, but maybe 3-5x weekly. Overall, the quality is average. You are not getting anything spectacular and what I thought would be a great value ended up basically being the quality that I paid for. My major gripes are around heat distribution on a gas cook top - the handles on the pans and pots tend to get very hot - and the coating on one of the pans. One of my pans was badly damaged under normal use (hand wash, followed care instructions) early on, and while I contacted the manufacturer, they claimed that it was not covered by the warranty. I have included a picture to let you be the judge. The photo is of the cleaned pan. You'll see it is burned and discolored. It doesn't necessarily impact my cooking, but as my "go to" pan, it was greatly disappointing not to be covered by the manufacturer. None of the other pans had this issue and they've all been treated identically. All in all, this is an average set. The pro is that it includes a pot and pan (and lid) for nearly every common use. The price is about on point for this set. I wouldn't consider it a steal by any means.

Durable Cookware Set
I've had this cookware set now for five years. They are very durable and the lids fit tightly and allow excess steam to vent from the holes. They are solid with some weight to them. Worth every penny!

Love this cookware set!
Reason I bought this set was because it had the perfect sizes for me, I wanted the glass lids and the handles were bake proof. The handles do not get hot on my electric stove. These pots have a very nice bottom, they don't burn food. The only downside (I had even read in reviews) and experienced myself, the pots discolor. Doesn't affect the food, only they don't look too good. But, I've experienced, cooking some tomato sauce in there, and all the discolored stuff disappears, and they're as shiny as new. So I really love these pots. I love to cook, making 3 meals a day, 7 days a week, and would definitely recommend these! I've been using this set for 3 months now. And yes, the copper color design on the bottom of the pots, is just a sticker. It peels off after many uses and dishwasher cycles. Don't know why they have that on there, but it looks cute, till it comes off.

was Skeptic but they are brilliant
Like the manufacturer states heavy bass, I've been a Baccarat buyer for years. These are so much better and quite heavy even the small pan has quite a bit of weight behind it. The small fry pan is great for frying Onions and mushrooms. etc, etc. The bass is really thick with a good Copper lining sandwiched between the 2 Stainless Steel bass. Also, there is an interesting pattern on the bass where you see the copper, this will allow the heat to heat up the bass more readily. As far as price goes it's supper low for the 13-piece set. Would buy this set in a heartbeat hands down.

Beautiful set and very high performing, exceeded my expectations!
This is A beautiful set. With the thick bottom gauge, it heats up evenly and fast. The interior stainless steel is 18/10 which is the best kind. It has all the sizes needee for home cooking. If you are after the copper lined look, this discolors when in heat and doesn't last long. This does not matter to me though as performance is what I am after buteven with the "copper line" discolors, it is still a beauty.
