bought this for my boyfriend, was his favorite song as a kid so it makes him very happy every time we play it. the music comes out nice and clear. easy to use you just open it up and spin the little knob. it's fallen off the table before and survived the fall, so it's durable. (probably shouldn't throw it though haha) it is the full part of the song.. just when taking the video it started like a second sooner than usually. i've also had it for a while so it might need a little bit of a cleaning because it didn't get stuck or be squeaky like towards the end of the video. BUT I PROMISE it's good. when i'm not lazy i will clean it and redo my review if possible. it is still a cute little 5 starts from me :)

My teenage son gave me this gift because I used to sing this song to him each day on the drive to school when he was little. I love this little music box for that reason. But I did want to add some context regarding its size. It fits neatly between your thumb and index finger. The music plays AS YOU TURN. So, it's not a "wind it up"; after you stop, the entire song plays type of music box. It's cute, though. Not very durable. Handle it with EXTREME care. It's in the category of "play it when you get it," place it on a nice shelf and keep it out of reach of small or clumsy hands. One drop, and more than likely, it's gone.

This is a couple months late as I bought this as a Christmas gift for my wife. This year we decided no gifts for each other as we are at that age where we have what we need, and don't really need much. But as those that are married know " No gifts" still means you better do something! Looking through Amazon this showed up on the top of the page, I clicked on it and thought it was interesting. Looking closer the message on the lid about my Wife was nice, but the song! You Are My Sunshine is kind of our default song. Pillow on the couch says that phrase, not to mention we burst out singing it sometimes. Yeah that's dorky I know, but young love at an old age...hehehe. Christmas Day when she opened it though....small, kind of dainty.... lifted the lid read the note and she Smiled Big! Then the real magic, she turned the crank and listened to "You are My Sunshine", it brought tears to her eyes in happiness. Was better than I could ever have hoped, definitely a WIN! We couldn't be happier with this little music box.

Sometimes even small, inexpensive items make a big impression. This little music box was among several presents I recently bought for my wife. Turn the crank, and it plays "You Are My Sunshine," which is how I feel about her. But it's also the song she often sang to our infant son 52 years ago. It really gave us a wonderful moment.
