Great dishwasher for many years. Suddenly quit washing good and left detergent undissolved. Spray arms did not turn! Thought recirculation pump was bad and removed dishwasher into garage. Filled it with water (1.8 gallons) using bucket and pump worked great... spray arms turned. Per troubleshoot guide (located in sleeve behind kick panel) the inlet shutoff valve opens for 1m 45 sec when it fills. It is designed to allow that volume of water using 20+ psi water pressure. My water pressure is 55 psi. There is a overfill float switch (mushroom) in the basin and if pressure is much higher (flows faster) that switch prevents overflow. Nothing prevents under filling!! Guide suggested that inlet fill shutoff valve could become clogged or fail or it could be a bad supply hose. I tested hose flow at 2 GPM. The hose with the OEM valve tested 0.2 GPM. Obviously that is inadequate. The hose with the new valve tested 1 GPM. The OEM valve looked great and did not appear to be clogged. Probably something internal was keeping it from opening completely. Dishwasher worked as new with the new valve. The valve is in the upper left corner in the photo. The SST braided hose is the supply coming from hot water line. The black corrugated hose leads to the dishwasher pump. My OEM valve was 8531670. The new valve looked identical. It came with brass elbow pipe fitting and a garden hose adapter. I used my old elbow fitting. It was hard to find the valve for that exact model. I ordered this even though the model number wasn’t listed on the description. The shape of the valve was little different than the original one but it had the same water inlet and outlet.
